DIET TALK, OK SO WHO.....

Original post by D's Girl

Is on a hard core diet & I mean gym 4 or 5 times a week, no eating crap, etc...?

Who is just watching what they eat, not getting nuts about it?

Who is saying 'It is what it is'?

I've tried to be good but I keep falling back into old habits! Especially since FH is skinny and eats crap all the time! I keep telling myself 'I'll start next week!' now I'm down to 181 days and I need to lose 10 lbs It's so depressing!

Yeah I have to say myself, I have been eating hardly anything bad, no bread, pasta, etc.. and trying to hit the gym at least 3X a week. This week I went once and I have to say it is cold as a beotch outside and all I want to do is get home in my PJ's

Same here-- as of Monday. I'm still trying to book vendors and have to order my dress- so its been hard getting to the gym-- so I've been going at LEAST 2x a week and i do crunches at home. Once I have everything booked I need to get to the gym ALOT more often.

I go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week. I have been on weight watchers as a life style not as a diet. My arms have chicken wings and all this has not solved the problem. I think surgery would be the cure.

I'm watching what I eat, logging my food into my sparkpeople account every da, upping my water intake and working out at least 3 times a week. I've only been working out for 4 weeks now so no weight loss but I think I lost an inch on my hips.

I started watching what I ate back in November after I started dress shopping and didn't like the way I looked. I had reached my highest weight ever and my doctor even told me I better watch it because my cholesterol was too high and there is diabetes in my family. In January I joined Weight Watchers and try to go walking and do weight training a few times a week. In two months I am down 12 pounds so far. I love Weight Watchers. I never feel deprived and I can have some junk food in moderation. I am a huge sugar addict and now I find I do not get cravings as bad and I get full so much faster. I even have more energy and just feel healthier.

I'll be honest here....normally I wouldnt answer a post like this but hell, I need motivation.
I used to be good at going to the gym.....this past September I started a new position at my job whch resulted in my hours changing. My hours are now 10-6....I work in the city so I walk in my door at 5 minutes to 8. at that time, I just want to throw on my pj's, watch tv with FH and then go to bed.
Needless to say I havent been to the gym in a looong time. I do watch what I eat; I've actually been good at it......no 'cr@p' food...I cheat when I have my monthy friend (chocolate and stuff).
If I go to the gym before work then I would have to get up at 5:30am. I have no idea if I can even do that....thats WAY too early for me.
I do though sometimes ride the stationary bike we have upstairs......

ETA.....since Im in the city and my office is a decent way from penn station, I do walk and I dont take the subway

it is what it is. i lost 45lbs a few years ago and it's to the point now where i can maintain it no problem so it's not on my mind too much (unless i'm at my fh's grandmother's house ) i'm also a vegetarian though and so is fh, so healthy eating almost goes with the territory. right now i just want to tone up so i've been trying to exercise more, but i'm happy with my weight, which i've never been in the past so it's nice to finally be able to say that. =0)

Remember that it's not always about going to the gym.

Since I started working in the city in April (my commute used to be 15 minutes door to door), I started taking advantage of the fact that I don't have my car to rely on so much around here. Even when it's cold, I make it a point to go outside and walk a little bit and run the stairs in the subway....

I've been eating alot better and not drinking nearly as much as I usually do. I fell off the wagon today and ate so much crap..oh well..I go to the gym 4-5 times a week. I wanna look great for the wedding but I also want to be able to keep the weight off..I want to be able to fit into my dress next year as well

OK I'm like in the middle....I AM working out not 4 to 5 times a week more like 2 or 3....I am watching what I eat, I've been having slim fast shakes for breakfast EVERYDAY for the past 2 weeks. I KNOW I need ot step it up a notch , I am really trying, I've gave in to temptation 4 times already since I started the diet!!!

I CANT GET MOTIVATED, to go to the gym. I am so tired by the time I get home at night. I am watching what I am eating though. Im keeping all fatty foods out of my house, and if I eat breads its whole wheat or multi grain pastas, breads, etc. I do really need to go to the gym, we are going to Key West in April for FH's friend and Im gonna look like such a whale on that beach!!!!!!!

I just started going back to the gym last week. Today is my first day off since last Thursday...I am actually typing this in my gym clothes, I just can't find the motivation to go tonight...I've been doing well, but I'm not going crazy. As for watching what I eat--I'll probably watch myself eat a bowl of Rocky Road ice cream in a few hours

I am pretty good about going to the gym (5 or 6 days a week), but I am awful at watching what I eat (especially after work). Once yummy fruits are back in season, I will be much better.

I really tried to be on a hardcore diet...but I just can't stick to it...I definitely watch what I eat and I took hoodia....but I love food and I love wine more..

I would choose wine over food anytime...unfortunately the wine usually leads to food. \

Ehhh....photshop the photos if I don't like them! I actually have really toned up my arms though thats all I really cared about!
