Most of us off the bat would say no- but a conversation I had with FH and a friend of ours got me thinking.
Fh was telling our friend that I am always stressing about the wedding and all the minor details- so our friend said, you know Kysha she is all about ettiquete and what people think of her.
Now my response was- No it is not about what people think of me, but about making a good impression. I have always been this way- When I plan something I give it my 100% and this wedding is no different.
Now I am thinking do we do things with the mindset of pleasing others or making ourselves look good to others? Are people's opinions really that important to us?

Re: Do you care what others think of you?
To an extent, yes, I do care what others think of me. But not as much as I used to.
For example, I didn't care what anybody thought when DH and I decided to have a medieval theme wedding.
I don't care what strangers think of me.
I also don't care if someone doesn't like me. You can't please everyone. I don't try to anymore.
But I DO care how my good friends/family think of me. Mostly in terms of my personal behavior. I don't want to be seen as mean, selfish, or hurtful--because I'm not. So I do care about that.

I wish I didn't care as much. It also depends on what it is. I want people to think that I'm a good person, and that I'm smart.

I care what the people closest to me think of me. When I meet people I'd LIKE to make a good impression, but if any wrong judgements are passed against me, then no, I don't really care and I'm not about to jump through hoops to fix any negative assumptions that have already been made.
I was very particular about my wedding...but that was because it was what I wanted for ME.
