I'm not. If I like it, I buy it, even if it's not name brand. I have a 2000 KIA. I shop at H&M and Forever 21.

with my purses and wallet- yes
everything else- no.
if it looks good- whether its prada or kmart, ill wear it. 99% of my clothes are from marshalls, tj maxx or outlet stores. i receive compliments on my clothing all the time so i really dont think brands matter.

I think I am materialistic though I tend to be rather conservative and practical as far as things I buy to wear. In other words, the clothes I have are not identifiable by desiger on the outside. I fail to see the difference in denim jeans that cost $100 or more to those that cost only $30. You cannot convince me that one pair is better than the next when I know they are made in the same sweat shop in a third world country. Believe me, I am no human rights activist by anymeans but you get my drift.

I'm the first to admit that I'm extremely materialistic, but it's not so much about brands, but more about quality.

Target doesn't come to mind when I think of soft goods (nor does K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Kohls, JC Penney, Sears, etc.), but I think that relates more to their styles & goods, not the retailer itself.

i don't think so. i have found great clothes at kohl and express and bloomingdales. make-up? maybelline has some products just as good as shisiedo. but i do find that clothing from target smells likes chemicals so that is something that stops me from buying. but i've learned that finesse is just as good as matrix, that the shop rite brand pasta is just as good as the barilla, but there are somet hings that you don't go cheap. saran wrap. the cheap stuff doesn't work.

when it comes to household items (furniture, bedding, appliances, acessories etc...) and cars, YES. clothing, NO. it is hard enough to find items that fit me. i don't have the luxury of being able to be brand picky.

I do not think I am....

I drive a 1999 Chevy Tracker (the closest I could gert to the jeep I always wished for)

I buy EVERYTHING ON SALE

I think its almost likea game to find a great bargain!

But, I will not compromise on feminine products...like someone else said, they fall apart, or do not even stick!!! What a MESS!

I also will not use knockoff store brand shampoo...like the store brand :'herbal essences'

And I will HAVE to hav Charmin tp!

Re: Do you consider yourself

I have to say with clothes I am very materialistic. I can't help it, I've been this way since 2nd grade-when all I wanted to wear was Esprit and Guess clothes. I really think that higher pricepoint clothing and accessories are a better quality for the most part.
As far as the car I drive, as long as it's safe and doesn't break down, I could care less.
As far as my home is concerned, I am a bigtime bargain shopper.
I am even materialistic with dh's clothes..
