For those who don't live with FH

For those who don't live with FH

Ok in the 'silly reasons...' to marry FH thread and many times on the board actually I noticed alot of girls saying how they can't wait to be able to sleep together(as in real sleep) waking up to eachother and all of that.

So i am real curious as to what the situation is for those who dont live with FH, because i dont think of those reasons for the fact that we do all of that now. Yes it will be different but still

FH and I don't live together but we usually do sleep together. We used to always just stay at his place, i would always bring all my things over. Now we basically stay at my house, on occasion we still stay at his house.

On days he DOESN'T have softball lol, he picks me up from the train we go to my house, in the morning we leave for work together and so on. There are days yes we don't sleep together, if hes playing and the game runs late or something.

Im curious if there are people who never stay over eachothers house or rarely do

Let me tell you, before I moved in w/ fh (3 yrs ago) I used to stay that it wouldn't be that different b/c I basically lived at his apartment and slept there every night. People told me it would be very different and I never believed them

Well now speaking from experience I can tell you it is very different. It is the little things that you don't even think of. Don't get me wrong I love living with him, but it took a while to adjust to all the odds and ends I wasn't prepared for.

I didnt list that as a something i look foward to for the same reason.

We both still live with parents. However, FH usually stays over our house 4 nights a week and we sleep together. I know it will be different when we have our own place and are married.

Well FH and I used to live together and he had to move for work related reasons. Now., we do not see each other/ sleep together during the week.

I was so used to him being there and now he's not every night...I just can't wait to have him back...

Even though he's moving back before we are getting married...

I go to his apt every weekend., and If I have to stay in the city, he stays over mine.

oh don't get me wrong it will be different i know...i just meant alot of people seem to say that they can't wait until they can finally sleep together and see eachother in the morning so im curious what the situation is...like you said its different, even for people who do what i do it will be different so curious for those who never stay over.

My fh is OCD so im already like oh god the things im gonna have to do hahahaha. I am the COMPLETE opposite

yeah that is hard when you get used to things one way and then its disrupted, like now on nights we don't sleep together its weird.

I know some people who have really strict parents and are not allowed to sleep in the same bed w/ fh

they must be dying to get married

I love on a cold night when I snuggle up to fh and his body is all warm, its like the best feeling

And I like sleeping w/ my pup a lot too

I don't know who I like sleeping w/ more

we almost always sleep together at either his house or mine ... usually mine because we have a kitten and cant take her to his house (his parents dont like animals)...

so yes we do wake up to each other 5 or 6 days a week - but i cant wait to acutally share a room, a king size bed, not have to go home and shower, have all of my clothes in the same place etc.

basiaclly, i just cant wait to have 'our own' space! I think that I am most looking forward to 'our home' after the wedding (looks like we will be building a house in NC )

Re: For those who don't live with FH

Other than our cruise last year, he's NEVER slept over my house and I've never slept over his house. To our families it's disrespectful when you aren't married to sleep over eachother's houses. We were hesitant to share that we were going on a cruise together, but to our surprise our parents were cool with that. We come from very Italian families and sleeping in the same bed is for married couples only.

At first, I wanted to stay over his house and vice versa, but we got used to it. I am happy now that we don't...when we move into our new house together it will be like a whole new relationship...being newlyweds will be fun and everything will still be new...I can't wait!

Re: For those who don't live with FH

Well FH has been home for a week already and I cant tell you how much I love waking up next to him and go to sleep with him.

I mean yes when he comes home on his leave during christmas time and other sort visits we usually sleep together. But I was always so nervous because my parents are against living together before being married (although they dont actually say anything when I sleep over Fh's house or my brother sleeps at his GF's apt haha)

So when he used to come home I would leave at like 5am and go back to my house so it looked like I slept home (we only live 5 blocks away from each other

But FH has been home since May 26th and I have slept over his house everyday and will until June 27th when he leaves!!!

AND I LOVE IT so I definitely cant wait until he comes home in July of 08 and we move in together. But I think it will be for more of the reason that we havent seen each other in a year!

FH and I don't live together and never have. We goes to law school in the city so he has an apartment in there.

I still live at home with mom and dad. We see each other on the weekend.

my FH is 100% Italian also and though his parents dont mind - its like hush hush from the rest of the family. when there is family over in the am, and we are just waking up ... i feel weird... we have to pretend that we were up really early running errands or something hahaha
