Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

Here's some info for you girls...

Tahiti in June was PERFECT. The weather was awesome! I stayed on Bora Bora, Taha'a and Moorea. Bora Bora and Taha'a were out of this world. They make you feel like kings and queens. We didn't like Moorea and the hotel wasn't up to par with the other two. We stayed at Pearl Resorts. The food in general is 'different'. Overall, get ready to relax!

FM for more info.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

We were on a cruise there for our HM, 10 days and loved it.
We were in Tahiti, Bora Bora , Taha, Huahine, Morea, etc. Long flight, but so worth the trip!

Most of the resorts offer meal plans... you can choose either just breakfast, breakfast/dinner or breakfast/lunch/dinner plans.

We opted not to do any meal plans b/c of recommendations from girls on theknot.com and tahiti-explorer.com forums. You don't want to be stuck eating at your hotel every day for each meal... you want to explore the islands and go to the restaurants, especially Bloody Mary's on bora bora!

Most said to pack snacks (crackers, cereal bars, peanut butter, anything non-perishable) with you so you can eat during the day in your bungalow and not spend an arm & a leg on food @ the hotel for every meal.

You have FM too.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

I am in the process of planning for Aug 2006 and alot of the agents have been telling me that the contracted rates wont be available until next month, so if you are planning on travelling in June 2007 then you have plenty of time!!

However, it is never too early to start getting excited!!

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

so i found this hotel, that is brand new, and i think we can say here at the end, just for 2 nights though. www.boraboraspa.interconti.com

they give you this:

Bora Bora Honeymoon - On making a reservation at the InterContinental Resort and Thalasso Spa Bora Bora for Honeymooners and when you mention “Honeymoon” on the reservation document as well as on the voucher, guests receive these special complimentary gifts on the day of arrival:

Tropical flowers arranged in the bedroom and bathroom of the bungalow
A half bottle of champagne on ice
We also offer :

For a minimum stay of 4 nights, a Polynesian jewel for Madam and a Tahitian gift for the groom
For a minimum stay of 5 nights, a pareu, a t-shirt and a cosmetic bag 'Algotherm'
For a minimum stay of 10 nights, a Romantic dinner for two with a half bottle of champagne, at the Reef Restaurant
These gestures from the resort are cumulative.

WHAT IS WITH A HALF BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE???????? your spending thousands, and they cant give you a whole one? ***?
