from what we have found out in our research...and FH has researched this trip for like..years...there is no nightlife!! Except for the bar in your resort....going out to dinner is the nightlife!! This is just a highly relaxing, romantic place to go.

yup - no nightlife that's what i've heard too but if that really matters this probably wouldn't be a place to go to.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!
I posted this on the bora bora forum post too...I'm going to Moorea and Bora Bora for my honeymoon in June. I have a few questions for those of you who have already went:
1 - what time do people go to dinner there?
2 - did you eat at Villa Mahana? If so, how did you make reservations? Did you reconfirm them after you made the reservation? I have a reservation there but I booked it through the TA and I'm not sure if I should reconfirm it.
3 - Is there anything you packed that you wish you left home?
4 - Is there anything you didn't pack that you wish you had?
5 - Any recommendations on where to buy pearls?
I know these are a lot of questions, but I'm just trying to make sure I'm organized.
TIA!!!!

Did any of you ladies use travel agents? Where/how did you find the agent and were they able to give you discounted/good packages? The only travel agent I know is Liberty travel and they were not helpful! Thanks!

Try tripology.com. You can post what you'd like and then travel agents will respond to your trip. I liked Chloe from Gotahiti.com

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!
Has anyone done (or thinking of doing) the motu private picnic in Bora Bora? It seems like that 'once in a lifetime' type of thing, but it is btw. $800 - $1000! Not sure if it is really worth it.
