I was wondering if someone could give me some information on prices for Tahiti Honeymoons- THANKS

It all depends on the hotels and types of rooms that you choose. I would say that you should expect to spend a minimum of $6500, more if you want an overwater bungalow.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

Hi girls...........so in case you forgot - we had to cancel our FP Honeymoon due to my father-in-law passing away the week of our wedding.

Just a tip for any future brides who come on this thread.....definitely take the trip insurance. Tahiti is such an expensive trip - I mean we never even thought twice about taking it - we just did. But thank god we did b/c my father-in-law was not even diagnosed with his cancer yet when we booked this trip....we never thought anything would keep us from going. Life throws you a few curve balls sometimes......we were unfortunately not able to go on our honeymoon right after our wedding so that insurance saved us!!! All we lost out on was the cost of the insurance which is nothing in the grand scheme of things!

Anyway - my good news is we are re-booked and all confirmed!

We're going for even longer now...leave in less than 2 months! I cannot wait! So excited -- just had to share with you girls! Our itinerary and rooms are mostly the same - just added on a few nights to some of the islands since we will be there longer now!

Here is our official itinerary....
13 nights
March 2nd thru 15th
I'll be there for my bday which is March 3rd!!! Already made a reservation for dinner for my birthday at the Moorea Pearl's newest restaurant, Le Matiehani...table on the beach under the stars (another LIW bride recommended this in her review)

1 night Tahiti Intercontinental - garden room
4 nights Moorea Pearl - garden bungalow with plunge pool (tried to get the beach bungalow like CaMacho was in but they are all booked...didn't feel like splurging for the premium beach bungalows...they were a lot more $)
5 nights Bora Bora Thalasso - emerald OWB
**private helicopter ride from Thalasso property to Le Taha'a***
3 nights Le Taha'a - beach villa

I am so excited! We need a vacation more than you can imagine. We had so much stress leading up to our wedding with DH's dad being so sick...it was a very difficult couple of months. He was only sick for 5 months before he passed. I am officially counting down the days...can't believe we are going soooo soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm obsessed with how big the beach villas at Le Taha'a are so just sharing some pics....
Just read someone's review on tripadvisor that Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn were just there during this person's stay! Fun!

I keep looking at yours and CaMacho's pictures to get me thru the days until we leave...it will be here before I know it though. I'm real busy at work right now up until we leave so it is good the time will go fast if I keep busy!
Yeah Tahaa looks so amazing - we don't dive but I will certainly take a ton of pictures there for all of you!

Thanks again!

Quick question girls -- do you have to make reservations for Bloody Mary's?

Also, any info on tours/excursion to book in Bora Bora you girls could pass along?

Thanks!!

I just sent him the link - I am upset, though because they probably damaged the coral doing this. Coral is SO, SO DELICATE. It's a LIVE ANIMAL that lives in it. It takes up to a hundred years for a coral reef to grow three feet. I know I am very weird, because I get very upset about people damaging coral

yes, u have to make reservations- i would say a day in advance, that is what we did.

we did the jet ski tour on bb and it was amazing, we booked through the hotel.

we also did the sunset cruise and it was wonderful, very romantice and a lot of fun- we got to ride on a catamaran!
we have amazing pics from this, and it was only us and one other couple that is what made it so amazing!

That's not weird - I think it's nice that you care about the coral! I had no idea it took that many years for it to grow! Wow!

I would never stay there...I think it's a little weird to stay UNDERwater! Just had to share the link b/c I just think it's unbelievable!
