Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

OMG the coral scared the crap out of us.. at the hotels they warned us not to touch the coral cause it was live and they wanted to preserve as much as possible.

believe me we didnt go near it! When i was underwater snorkeling - at one point i got kind of claustrophobic- all i could see was coral. it kind of freaked me and dh out. we re surfaced and high tailed it on the canoe back to shore!

but, please ladies- be careful of the coral!

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

I just sent him the link - I am upset, though because they probably damaged the coral doing this. Coral is SO, SO DELICATE. It's a LIVE ANIMAL that lives in it. It takes up to a hundred years for a coral reef to grow three feet. I know I am very weird, because I get very upset about people damaging coral

Not weird at all. I am the same way. I even try to wear biodegradeable sunblock when I go snorkeling so that I won't harm the coral. Sun & Ski is a good one in case you are interested.

Quick question girls -- do you have to make reservations for Bloody Mary's?

Also, any info on tours/excursion to book in Bora Bora you girls could pass along?

Thanks!!

yes, u have to make reservations- i would say a day in advance, that is what we did.

we did the jet ski tour on bb and it was amazing, we booked through the hotel.

we also did the sunset cruise and it was wonderful, very romantice and a lot of fun- we got to ride on a catamaran!
we have amazing pics from this, and it was only us and one other couple that is what made it so amazing!

Did you book all of this through the hotel when you got there?

Maybe 10-year... there are so many other places we want to go!
But I would give anything to be able to go back one day... I don't think anywhere else will compare.

Is 14 days too long??? I hope not!

Would love to go back for our 5th Anniv!!! Would be amazing but if we have a kid by then I doubt it will happen. We'll see...

What are you all doing for your 1 Yr Anniv? We haven't even gone on the HM yet and I'm already thinking of where we can go end of this year for our anniv....thinking Anguilla. The water looks almost as blue/clear as FP!

no, 14 days is DEFINITELY not too long. we did 12 or 13- i would have done 20 if i had the chance!

for our 1 year, we havent decided. we are either going to do jewelery (me diamond earrings and dh a pinky ring) or a trip to possibly california.. - want to go visit the wine country.

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

Hi girls...

I leave for FP in 18 days!!!

We are so excited - can't wait!

They just had a few weeks of downpour rain every day so please keep your fingers crossed for me that the weather is good. It's been sunny the last week so that is a good sign!

I keep looking at the Pearl Resorts webcams of each island we are going to trying to picture myself there...just so happy to be finally getting there!!!

Any advice on the packing....our plan is to pack 2 medium sized suitcases. Then just 1 carry on each. Is that the best way of doing it? Also anything you girls packed and didn't use/need?

Thanks!
