Someone who's JUST a friend...that you occasionally...well, you know...with.

And NO I never have. Can't separate the act with the emotion, personally...

Never had one. As Farah said, I could never separate the emotional stuff from the physical stuff.

too much catholic guilt in my head to be able to pull off something like that.

ETA:but it sounds fun

I did. It was on and off for probably about a year. It did wind up killing the friendship though.

ummm thanks..Did I not write Catholic guilt in MY head? what does that have to do with my kids having company in their room with the door closed? What does a closed door have to do with emotionless sex? Maybe my kids will carry the same guilt that I would.

so you would have catholic guilt about a 'friend with benefits', but no guilt about your kids having sex in your home, b4 marriage..i'm sorry, you're the one who brought up 'catholic guilt'..and it just seems hypocritical to me...but that's just my opinion

I had sex before I was married, with my boyfriend(now DH) from high school. I was in love, therefore, my Catholism, did not play a role in the situation. I try to be devout, but I am not perfect. If my child, who I will trust as a young adult, can make their own decisions, what does that have to do with my guilt that I would feel if I slept with a man who I did not love. DH is not Catholic, they will be his children too, so maybe they will take after him and not have guilt.

ETA: in my original post, I said I could not pull it off, but sounds like fun. I am in no way against casual sex, if it floats your boat great.
