Don't mother of the brides and mother of the grooms always wear long dresses. Fhs Mom got a short dress and I feel like she should be more dressed up!!!! Right now I am a little upset!!! Do you think I'm wrong? I knew this would happen!!!!

The moms dont have to wear long dresses. My mom wore a short dress to my 1st wedding. It was a day wedding though.
Shes just being difficult in your case. I dont know if its worth the fight. Let FH handle it and if she refuses to behave she'll be the one to look out of place

I don't know if any of you were here or remember, but she was giving me and fh a hard time recently. she said some not so nice things about me and is less then thrilled that her baby is getting married. So honestly, no I can't tell her that it should be long.
at this point then you should just leave it alone, she is only hurting herself because she will look stupid not you, if anything it will show that she gave you a hard time and went against what you wanted. im sorry i know how it feels to deal with ppl that dont want to cooperate.

You would think she would want to look special that day as her son gets married. FH mom said she might not get a gown. I decided some things are out of my control and won't ruin my day. In the end she will be the one who looks silly not you!
Has she told you why she chose a shorter dress? (Sorry in case you mentioned it). I'm only asking because for example my mom is on the shorter side and she doesn't like how she looks in longer dresses and feels more elegant and more put together in a shorter dress. I've seen a bunch of very elegant/night type of shorter wedding dresses for MOB and MOG, but again really depends on the style that the person gets.

Ren I know you can't stand her but remember all eyes will be on you and FH. Plus maybe because it is a day wedding that is why she wants to wear a short dress (hopefully not too short)

its not slutty or anything, I just wanted it to be elegant in pictures!
oh i am sorry you are going thru this. However-I wouldn't stress it let her look like a a$$ on your wedding day. I know it is your wedding but it is her in a short dress and you will not be talked about she will be looking like a fool!
