Re: Greek Brides??
I'm so trying not to stress it... booking a band. Everyone I called was avail for our date, but FH wants us to go with his cousin who has a band and is half the cost. Wanted to go see AF in sept and hope he will be convinced after hearing them.

Re: Greek Brides??
Eleni - are you going to go hear them play? and if yes where? They are just sending us a demo - but since I am hearing Powerstation live - I want to have the same medium to compare them.

Re: Greek Brides??
Georgia - they play at platos Fridays and Sundays but not with the band he uses for weddings. I think Debbie actually went and saw them at a wedding.

Re: Greek Brides??
Yes, I'm going to hear them play when the whole band is back from Greece. I think their first gig is sometime in Sept like the 20th.

Re: Greek Brides??
One of the last weddings there was like an 18K tip. And I don't think it's normal.I don't know maybe the groom tips $500
Maybe koumbaros the same
and each of the parents too
I can see it easily go to 2K, although I definately think its a bit much, then add any other close family and friends. A few dollars here to there and it adds up. **Shrug**

Re: Greek Brides??
Holy!!! 18K tip?? what? Ok i even think 2K is insane! FH flipped when i told him we have to tip the band- his dad and uncle through a lot of money when his brother got married so i explained to him that would be the tip then - he still was so SHOCKED about the whole tipping issues with all the vendors!

Re: Greek Brides??
I'm not tipping any owners - my photo and video are both the owners of the companies so no tip for them. I think I'm tipping M'atradie (i always spell this wrong!), band, maybe florist?, and koubaro is in charge of tip for priest and buying choir something nice. No psalti or organist
