Re: Greek Brides??
I got the outfit from Noufaro! It was the cutest little thing... a light blue and cream colored sailor outfit, all silk, it was from some British company. Absolutely adorable!!! It even had a little sailor's cap! I'll post a pic when my koubara gets her proofs back. Noufaro is a little expensive though. That's the only thing I bought from there.I also saw a couple of cute outfits at Portara. I saw an adorable light blue suit! I would check her out too - she's right next to Laterna on Bell. She's a patriotisa... found her on the internet by mistake when I was looking for shower-favor-wrapping for my mom. The lady is from Naxo like me! She's got nice Svarovski stefana too. She gave us some great prices so far, and she's very nice. Check out her web site: http://www.portara.com/

Re: Greek Brides??
Deby, these stefana are beautiful. That website isn't working. Is the lady's name Eleni, by any chance? Someone recommended a place to me on Bell Blvd. and I'm not sure if that's the same one.Would you mind if I asked you the cost? I have no clue what they go for.
Has anyone ever thought of making their stefana? I know it sounds strange but I've seen it done and no one would ever guess. I wish I knew where to buy the hoops.
Thanks.

Re: Greek Brides??
Thanks so much for the info Debbie! Those stefana are so pretty. Sorry - i didnt respond - i went to sleep - i'm going to be stuck at work really late tonight so i needed to get at least 4 hours!
I didnt even know about the bell boulevard place- I'm going to go with FH this weekend hopefully.
Noufaro is a little pricey - but they have beautiful stuff. I bought by cousin's stefana and lambades when I was her koubara. I didnt know they have clothing for baptisms! Wonderful!
I cant wait to see pictures of your little godchild!
LImom - the website does work - you just have to erase the duplicate http:// entry when you click on it.
Would they have the hoops at a craft store possibly?

Re: Greek Brides??
I fixed the link -hopefully- for Portara. Yes, her name is Eleni, probably the same lady.Georgia, the outfit (not including the undergarments and shoes) cost $150 (actually, they were marked $200 for about two months that I was looking at them, and then for some reason, when I went to buy them, it was marked $150 - weird, but I didnt ask why). They had matching shoes, but I got him a pair of real shoes from Stride Rite. The rest of the stuff I got from a warehouse in Astoria, which was relatively cheap - but then some stuf at the end, he screwed us on. I'll give you their name if youre interested. I would definitely check out Portara first.
I'll take a pic of the boubouniera too post tonight. And I'll get that address too.

Re: Greek Brides??
I am sooo excited... and starting to get nervous! My invites are in!!!!!!!!! But I am not picking them up til Tuesday night cause FH and I are going out to the island for the long weekend! I cant wait to see them!!!!!!! Gail told me they look even better than we had planned!!!!!!!!!!!My shower is in two weeks!!!!! No surprise, my mom did not even try cause she thought I would figure it out immediately. I am so excited! But I need to work on some kind of speech thanking my sister-in-law and mom for throwing the party, and a whole bunch of other people... I hate, no I REALLY HATE giving speeches! And I ahve to make sure I include thank yous for some people, but if I single out too many, then the rest will get offended... you know how these Greek women are. I'll post speech once I have a rough draft. I am soooo nervous!
