Ok so I asked my FH who is a lawyer, I had him read your post. Basically what he said is even though you cant get in contact with him doesnt mean he is going to breach your contract. Aka he may still show up to do your wedding (although we know this is unlikely) you cant sue til after he doesn't show up on your wedding. So what he suggest s is hire a new dj and then when he doesn't show up sue the old company not only for your drposit but for the cost of hiring a new dj!! HTH!

If this was a legitimate situation, the first DJ would have contacted you and his other clients right away and let you know about selling his business and give you the option to get out of the contract and get your money back. Since none of that happened, I would not trust this business at all. Nothing would be worth stressing over your DJ not showing up! Ugh, sorry you are going thru this!
