How big is your center stone? (tacky anonymous poll)

Looking at the 'Let's post rings' thread - it seems like everyone on here has nearly a 2ct center stone! Wow ladies.

I put a poll to keep this semi-anonymous because I know this is a personal question.

*Edited to add 'tacky' to post title * (Notice how tongue-in-cheek I am about all of this ) and to change 'diamond' to 'center stone' for both clarity and to include all of you girls with beautiful non-diamond engagement rings (I can't access the poll in edit mode, apparently)

If you didnt give a crap about the ring, you wouldnt be wearing it, so pipe down. lol

Of course love is not measured in karats. I actually got flamed my first week here for telling a girl, who ahem by the way, never posted again, that she shouldnt be planning a wedding if her fiance cant afford a ring. Everyone yelled at me, got on my case for saying that I was rude to tell someone they cant plan a wedding without a ring. When I think back now, I was RIGHT!!! If your fiance cant afford to spend a grand or whatever the hell a ring costs, then maybe you should hold off on the huge wedding, and spending thousands on a wedding.

Bottom line, we all love our rings, big or small. So, get over it already. It was a question, she didnt ask your FH johnson size.

Which by the way, is MUCH more important than how big the ring is.

I agree one has nothing to do w/ another!!!
Saying someone shouldn't plan a wedding because their FH cant or chooses not to buy them a ring before the wedding happens is ridiculous.

People have so many different reasons for what they do, how they do it, and when.
Who are we to question or make judgements on anyone else?!

My FH tells told me that it took two attempts in the quarter machine to get my ring.

i have a friend with his a 5 carat ring she flaunts it and makes a huge deal out of it. it looks so dark it could be an onyx instead of a diamond. i think that the size doesnt matter as much as the quality.

This is what I was about to mention!!!!!

Its not the size thats important, but the quality of the diamond!!!!!

So let me get this straight. The girl who was posting, I believe her name was Mikes 2005 Bride, was posting that she and her FH were looking for a place to book their wedding. They werent engaged yet, because FH was saving money to buy a ring. Maybe you are misinterpreting what I was saying, ROSARIA. It has NOTHING to do with planning a wedding, or being engaged. You do not have to have a ring on your finger to get married. My point was, she was WAITING for her ring, even said so herself. She was waiting for FH to save money to buy a ring, but yet was planning a wedding, looking at halls, etc. The only thing against me, is if her parents were paying for her entire wedding, but, if her FH cannot afford to buy an engagement ring, why bother getting yourself into more expense by planning a wedding.
