I would most definitely notice if I didn't get a favor. The last wedding I went to had a candy bar at the end and I didn't even realize that it WAS the favor (it was kind of a skimpy candy bar).
That being said, I don't think you need to spend a fortune. I'm giving decks of playing cards, which were like $1 each. They were my dad's idea and I thought it was so nice that he was contributing ideas so I jumped on it and he was so thrilled that I took his advice. I think it's a perfectly acceptable favor, especially since we're also having a cigar roller, viennese to go boxes, a zeppole cart handing out bags as guests leave, a slipper basket and lip balms in the bathrooms that say Holiday Kisses from the New Mr. and Mrs. (with kissing bride/groom penguins).
I do think 1 fortune cookie pp is a little skimpy (sorry!). This website has some cute stuff under $1 and you can personalize most of it.

don't be sorry I asked lol
but I think I decided 2 chocolate dipped custom fortune fortune cookies per guest (1 bride 1 groom) put them in a take out box prob with some kisses

Skip the favors!! Honestly, people won't realize if they didn't get a favor. BUT they will notice if they get a favor and it's cheap.
i would definitely notice if they didnt have a favor... i personally feel like its a little token of thanks for the guest sharing your wedding day. for the amount of money im spending on other things i feel like whats an extra couple hundred dollars on a cute favor...this is how i feel please don't get offended

I do think I would notice if I didnt receive a favor but I wouldn't care. I get it because unless you have a cute idea that fits your theme favors are a pain! Lol I will say the only useful favor I ever received was hand sanitizer from bath and body works. That's not typical for a wedding I know but anything else was tossed to the side even if it was the cutest presentation. People aren't attending your wedding for a favor. I wouldn't drive yourself crazy. Anyone who judges you for a favor isn't worth the extra time and money that would go into providing an awesome favor anyway lol

I ending up spending about 10 per couple or single if they came alone. I got the glass canning jar with the hinged top, filled it with coffee (one of the small cans per jar), and the coffee scoop with hearts. I had to by the boxes to pack the in with tissue paper and ribbon. A lot of people told me they are refilling it with coffee or using the jar for something else now.

I know a lot of people do this, but its easy and I know they get reused. why don't do you do the coasters. They usually come prepackaged and come in all different designs. I have gotten coasters twice at weddings and I love them. I have one set in my living room for my coffee table and another set in my kitchen. I use them on a daily basis. You can get a set of 3 prepackaged for about $1.50 each.
Another cute idea I saw was a mason jar filled with soil and a bulb for 'forget me nots'.. there was a cute poem to go with them about how you have to care for and nurture love in order for it to grow. I thought that was a cute idea because I did grow the plant and then transfer it from the mason jar to my backyard.

not very fitting to our personalities but thanks. coasters have been done. I like different. I think I'm gonna jazz this up nice and do the bride and groom fortune cookie.

Going with your fortune cookie idea-For my sisters shower a couple years ago I found (for cheap) online flavored and colored fortune cookies where you customize the fortune inside. It was cheap enough to put a handful of fortune cookies in everyone's Chinese takeout containers which I filled in with paper filler from michaels

honestly, besides a photobooth strip, the only favor i ever took home was customized shot glasses. my purse is too packed as it is! what about doing a donation in honor of something that is important to you or your family?
