Ladies...I am curious to know why did you choose your wedding date? The reason being......
I will start my first wedding date choice was 09/04/04 or 09/05/04-but my dog died around that time and I got so depressed...so, I changed it for 07/31/04.....and coincedental enough...if you play with those #'s. It is my b-day and my year I was born. How ironic...

we started datign in june- we NEVER even considered it. We hate the heat. & sicen we got engegd in nove & wnated a less thatn 1 year engagement, we decied sept-noe, and so i stetred int eh middle with oct & figured sunday of Columbus day weekend woul d be good, but Saturday was available, sot there ya go!
I later realized that FH's cousin's/groomsman's birthday is 10/9, & his brother the best man's birthday is 6/12, our dating anniversary.
One of our guest's birthday is 10/9 too, but you can't plan around everyone.

I have always wanted a fall wedding. Fh proposed on christmas eve '03, so fall of '04 just seemed too soon. We decided fall of 2005 was perfect for us. we could save money, and I love that the year, 2005, flows so nicely lol. October is a crazy month in both our families, with a ton of birthdays so i wanted to stay away from that, the beginning of Nov is my MOH bday and i didnt want to be too close to that, and the end of November all the men in his family go hunting , so i didnt want to take away from that either. So we were shooting for early-mid nov. We had originally wanted a saturday evening but when we saw that we could save about 6500, we decided with a friday evening, veterans day actually! we also like the date 11-11-05 (my parents were 10-10 lol) I also love hearing everyones answers, its so funny what goes into this thought process keep em coming!

I think we just kinda picked a date. Oddly enough it turns out to be (as FH says) his half b-day. My parents anniversary is my mom's half b-day also. Guess it is an unspoken tradition.

We picked late September because it is usually blue skies and cooler temps.
Well, on our wedding day it was on and off cloudy / sprinkling and HUMID!!!!!!!!!!

we got engaged on july 4th 2002 and we knew we wanted to get married on a sunday in the summer 2005. when we looked at july 3 we realized not only was it a sunday but a 3 day weekend so it was perfect timing

I am a teacher and originally wanted to get married in the beginning of July so I would spend the summer anxiously waiting, but his sister was already in a wedding one week and then the church didn't have the next weekend, so we are now the third weekend in July... I guess just whatever worked out!

You mean Veteran's day, right? Election day is always a Tuesday.

We knew that we wanted to get married when the weather was warm. So when we decided on a reception hall, we went with a date that they had available.

I love the weather in early October (not too hot, not too cold). I really wanted October 10th (Columbus weekend). Some people have a three day weekend, and I liked the whole '10/10' thing.
MY FH proposed on 12/26/03 at 12:03am. (We've been together 3 years). I still really wanted October, but I didn't want to wait over a year and a half to get married. We went out looking at halls the weekend after New Year's.
When we looked at October with the different halls, only certain dates were available. I compromised on getting the place I wanted and the time of year. The actual date lost its importance.

Hey Spitzergirl... We have the same date 7/31/04. I am a teacher so I wanted to get married inthe summer. My first choice was 7/17/04 but the hall was already booked for that date. The hall only had 2 dates left for the summer, so we chose 7/31/04.

Summer was too hot, Winter was too cold, Spring, I have terrible Allergies, that left the fall, WE are getting married September 4th on our two year anniversary.

We originally were looking to get married in March because it was the off season and closer to spring. We were going to get married on good friday. However, my FI and I didnt want to wait a year and a half so we decided to move it up. My parents wanted us to get married the weekend after Thanksgiving, but I was afraid it was too cold them. Nov. 13 was the only other avail. Saturday. I am still a little bothered that we are getting married on the '13th' but slowly am getting used to it.

I really wanted to have a Saturday night wedding over the summer. I still have brothers and sisters in school so in the summer my mom would have more time to help me out with the plans. We orginally picked a hall that we could only afford to have a Sunday wedding...we were hoping for a holiday weekend but all of them were booked. Then we decided to look for a place that was cheaper and it worked out in the end on a Saturday night in the summer...so I guess everything does work out for a reason:).
