I wear a 2 piece and I am not slim by any stretch of the word but I feel good and my hubby loves me in it. I don't care what anyone else thinks. I guess it does have a lot to do with self confidence. Thanks for my mother for helping my build up mine.

Hey, I have a small frame, and depending on my hunger and whatnot, my weight fluctuates. Technically I wear a size 2 or 3, but the jiggles that fly from my arms, thighs, and a$$ would show otherwise........as I've told you before, I refer to it as my 'underwater a$$' cause it jiggles like I'm underwater...

We are all beautiful!!!!!!

T- who is this person to you? I wouldnt say anything
if she is comfortable wearing it, you saying something may hurt her feelings? Keep it to yourself

Suzanne, those girls have cold hearts and no blood in their veins. You have warm blood and a warm heart, and thats all that matters.

Its a shame that society makes women and girls feel so 'imperfect' if they dont look like the cosmo covergirl.

At one of my past jobs, I was working the 'kids at work day' and I spent the whole day with the employees children. It was great. At one point, I took a few girls the 'little girls room' and waited for them. As we were waiting, one of them, no older than 8, was looking in the mirror, and had a very sad face on her. and I said 'Whats the matter? are you ok?' and she goes 'My mommy keeps telling me that i'm getting fat, and I think she's right'... Can you imagine ??? I wanted to hug her. I told her she looked great, but Im sure a few kind words from a stranger, will NEVER erase the profound and lasting affect 'mommy's words' will have on any precious child. I can imagine this child as a teenager...

I have almost always been a bit heaver than my twin sister, but I have always felt like 'her twin' nonetheless. We are and will always be eachothers other half. Our physical differences are what make us who we are. She is beautiful in my eyes and I am in hers, inside and out. My parents brought us up with confidence and ambition and that's who we are today.

Now back to the origination of this post. I cant help but roll my eyes at those of you that are sincere, genuine and so nice, and actually responded to the question. Posts such as these should be taken as rhetorical questions. If someone is even thinking about doing something so foolish, why waste time and energy trying to change who they are? Certain things are asked in a mocking tone, and are definately not questions meant to seek genuine advice.

Obviously, many people are not the 'perfect' person that Cosmo says we should be, but many of us have the confidence and security to love ourselves just the way God made us.
and many of those that purchase perfection obviously didnt have that confidence and security to begin with. (in most cases), and most probably, still dont have it today.

When you look in the mirror, dont only look at the color of your lipstick, look deep into your own eyes, and ask yourself if youre truly happy with who you are.

Ladies, youre ALL beautiful !

*sidenote-I couldnt help but notice how it quieted down without the sidekicks jumping in... *

Why would a mother tell a child she is fat?
I have never heard of such a thing?
Imagine she lived in an italian household where all you do is eat bread and pasta..
Woah!

Did you approach the mother?

Anna, I responded from my heart, not at all in a mocking way

You are such a great, sweet, beautiful person! :) Don't listen to those girls! I never met you in person but my opinion of you is that you are beautiful inside and out! No matter what your tag says! :)

Don't you know that people who have to make fun and laugh at others, aren't happy with themselves!

I think the whole post quieted down because there isn't a girl on this site who had never been beat up by words. I was a huge victim of it myself...glasses, retainer, and all! But, we've all done the beating up at some point in our lives also.....

I think Anna was talking about T asking her question in a mocking tone, not us.

Re: Jennbaby

Okay we have all said our peace. I by no means have a body to kill for or profess to have one either. Yes I have been on the end of cruel weight comments from a selfish ex husband while I was pregnant and yes it hurt very badly.

However we don't know the history between Theresa and this girl for all we know she could have made comments as well. I'm not condoning it either way but such is life

Re: Jennbaby

jenn, what denise said. I meant the question was mocking and the answers genuine and from the heart.

denise- aweee thanks *blush*

misty - yep, i guess thats why it quieted down. 'hurt words' hit home to everyone. because unfortunately, there are bullies in life. and they do hit home especially to the bullies.

An interesting little quote:
Profile of a Bully
Adult bullies, like their schoolyard counterparts, tend to be insecure people with poor or non-existent social skills and little empathy. They turn this insecurity outwards, finding satisfaction in their ability to attack and diminish the capable people around them.
