I live in Long Beach and evacuated to a hotel in Melville. We can't go home for 2-3 weeks they are saying. Long Beach got hit really bad but thankfully we have no water damage. We are sooo thankful since all of LB got flooded.
so glad ur ok!!! anyone heard from marrythenight24 (i think it's jessica right?)
Thanks!
It looks like I won't be able to go home for maybe a month or longer they are saying. I went the other day to get some things from my house and it was like a war zone. I came back soo depressed. I can't believe the way LB looks![]()
I'm so sorry to hear that Noelle.
This hurricane was horrible. I hope things turn out for the better for you

I finally got power today. Our house didn't have major damage. Thank God. I'm happy to finally have lights, heat and hot water tonight for the first time this week. Now I have to find gas tomorrow.

That's great news! My parents out in Brentwood still don't have power and it's so frustrating. They're actually fine. I think I'm more upset than they are.
Do you have to go out for gas? If not, stay home and wait another day or so. It's an absolute mad house out there. I live in West Babylon right off Little East Neck and I can't even leave the neighborhood from Little East Neck Rd because of the lines.

how is everyone doing?
Sorry been MIA (not storm related thank god, just some other work).I'm in the Bronx and my area wasn't bad and thankfully my house is fine. Other parts that are more near the water were hit very hard and we donated a lot of clothing and food the other day. My crazy FH and I went out in the storm to video some of the area..it was insane.
My sister-in-law who is around the corner from me lost power and thankfully it came back yesterday. She was really ticking me off tho....I understand that it is an inconvience to sleep at your moms with the kids (my two nieces are 2 and 3)...but she was complaining on FB like it was the end of the world. People lost homes and lives! Grrrr....end of rant.
So sorry for those who are still in hotels and without power etc. Hold your head up, we will get through it.

We just got power back today. No property damage luckily but FH and I have been out of the house all week. He works full time as a police officer and I volunteer on EMS. FH's family owns a gas station so for the last two days it has been all hands on deck there.Welcome New Vendors
