I still have a job for now but who knows for how long and as of next week I'm going to add 30 minutes onto my already 50 minute commute, but I still have a job so I won't complain.

I could use some health prayers for some close friends and family members though.

I hope everyone remembers to always be happy. Happiness is family. And we have all either gotten married or are getting married and have a new addition to our blessed life already. I am not a spiritual person but I thank god every day for the life he has given me.

i think we are all hurting. the price of everything has gone up but salaries remain the same...even my danon yogurt increased! this is definitely not the best time to be saving for a wedding.

i think its just about everyone, my and dh have decent jobs but with the all these price increases we are surely feeling it, it totally *****

Ditto...I'm going into my first attorney job and FH is the manager of the graphic design studio in a huge ad agency...good jobs, but somehow its feels like its all negated by the fact that we have a mortgage at slightly over 6%, an SUV that takes more than $100 in gas to fill up (not to mention my little maxima costs $75 freaking dollars to fill up), FH has his train ticket and metro card the price of which just continually goes up, and all the other expensive costs of living in NY. It's a bummer.

Mary -- gas in New York is $4.30 a gallon and more. It's killing me -- the price of food has gone up dramatically too. My sister from Florida was really surprised by how much more things cost here.

I'm a contractor praying that I will be offered a permanent position....but I work for a financial/banking company and my contract is up on 8/15. Right now I'm just hoping and praying they renew my contract, but I really want to stay here permanently.

My prayers go out for all of us girls and our families though these rough economic times.

I just want to share something, because I need to remind myself too!! Weeks ago, at suppertime, I was silently thinking, how nice it would be if my Husband would bring me a Subway Sub for supper!!! When he came home from work, he had a Subway Sub for each of us!!!! If THE LORD cared that much to delight me with a sub, surely HE CARES MUCH MORE for us and our economic and other pressing needs!! GOD is never in a recession, and has the power to turn things around!!!!!!! Mary MOB

I will admit that we are definately lucky. Chris has a stable job and mine isn't going anywhere right now so we are much much better off then many people. I am trying to switch jobs so that could be a whole other story!
