In a perfect world, I'd like to buy a house and have it set up before we get married. Not necessarily living in it. But I don't know if we will have the money. I am thinking of renting or buying something smaller first. And then saving for the big dream home.

We bought a house two months ago, it will be a crazy year paying for a wedding and our house but it's so worth it, for us.

We aew buying ahouse b4 the wedding. We will not live in it until our weddin gnight though. We are looking to buy it at least 6mth b4 hand so we can fix it up and get things settled.. furniture ect. Im keeping my fingers crossed tha things will go as planned.

I WISH we could buy before the wedding.
In the mean time we are fortunate enough to be able to rent one of FH's father's home's for super cheap rent. This allows us to save a lot of $$$ for the wedding and to buy a house. We plan to by a home about a year after the wedding.

i wish we could buy a house b4 the wedding but it will be impossible! Luckily, we will be renting from my fi's parents- they have a house in north nj so we luck out with cheap rent and it will give us time to save for a house! cant wait for that day!

We bought our house before we were even engaged (yikes!), but we knew we would be getting married. We bought the house last March, he propsed two months later, and we're not getting married till next June! We still live in separate states, though, so I'm living in our house till he's done with business school and then he'll finally come home and we can live in our house together! Much better than just seeing him on the weekends and having all his stuff around but not him!

we are buying before...we are actually putting an extention on the house right now....its alot between planning hte wedding and designing a house...we gutted the kitchen and bathroom, so now we are picking out all new stuff and its adding up sooooo fast

We bought a 2 family house about a year ago so it definitely helps with the mortgage payments. Plus it's just a good investment.

we re still house hunting have been looking since april, made two offers on two houses, but both wouldn't budge (and now I bet the owners which they had because both have since dropped asking price and at this rate won't even be getting the price we offered)
Including yesterday's open houses we have now looked at 105
We're hoping to find one by November

Ya no way we could afford a HOuse Maybe Maybe a 1 Bedroom co-op. we will see if they drop in price by the time we are ready ... if Not we may have to rent

I second that Either we buy a house and never go out, go on vacation and buy ourselves nice things, like food or wait
