In a perfect world, I'd like to buy a house and have it set up before we get married. Not necessarily living in it. But I don't know if we will have the money. I am thinking of renting or buying something smaller first. And then saving for the big dream home.

i doubt well be buying a house come wedding time but we are hoping for a nice 2 bedroom coop or condo before the wedding- we both kinda (ok desperately!) need jobs though b4 we even start to look!!!!

I already own a home, b4 he came into the picture. I did some work to it allready & we live together now, but after the wedding we will be adding another dormer hopefully,,
Thank god i have it, otherwise I have no idea how we could own anything ,, & plan for the wedding to o

We also bought a house before we were even engaged! We new we were going to get married. We just found the house faster than we thought.

We bought a house two months ago, it will be a crazy year paying for a wedding and our house but it's so worth it, for us.
Its crazy but soooo worth it the wedding payments will only be temporary

We are still focusing on making sure we have all the money for the wedding...we will definitely be renting until after the wedding. With the prices of these houses who knows when I will own one! LOL

We just bought a house in Huntington....we close on Oct. 1!
You gotta hunt for a good fixer upper......we found a great fixer upper right outside of Huntington Village (literally we could walk there) & we couldn't be more happier.

Buy a house on LI??? Yay right! i wish.... we will be renting after the wedding... and then in a year or two buy something... but it will probably be out of state.... 400K plus 10K in taxes... won't do it... i would like to stay home when we have kids and they're little... you just can't do that on LI...well, not on our salaries!
I wish we could, but FH has to go on an intership year of supervised practice. Hopefully after that when he gets a job we can buy something!

fi's condo is on the market and he will be moving in with me at my condo. We were going to buy before the wedding, but we want to save more money. so probably right after we get married.

I bought a house in Sayville back in April. I wouldn't even consider getting married if I didn't already own one. BUT that is because my priorities are much different since we already have 2 children. We wanted to have them in a nice house and in a good school district.
It is HARD to save money when you own... we actually have a HELOC to help out with the wedding if needed!

we couldn't buy a house AND pay for the weddng.. we are looking for houses.. and we are going to buy after the wedding.. I want to own a house before I start having babies!!!!
