Since we are all talking about weddings, I was just a bit curious.
When you go to weddings, are there any factors you take into consideration when you decide on how much to give a couple???
I usually do not give less than $100, but of course I give as much as I can. No matter what, I at LEAST give $100. If it's no one that I know. If it's a friend or family member, I give them as much as I can , but never less than $200.
Do you prefer to give a gift or money??

The least that I will ever give for me and my DH to attend a wedding is $200. If I am very close to the bride or groom, I will most likely give $350-400.

At least 300 per couple. I prefer money.
I have been to MANY weddings this year, and I never stopped to consider if it was a Sat. Vs. a Sunday wedding. So I guess, No I dont take much into conderation when giving a gift except for how much money I have in my checking account.

HAH, I forgot all about FH, if both of us go I give about $200 at the very least. It all depends I suppose on who it is. I just try to never go less than that if I am really strapped for cash.

I give $300 if it's just me, and $400 for the couple if it's a friend or distant relative. More if it's a close friend or family member.

i always give money n if i go alone i give 150 if i go w.the Fh then usally 200 or 250 if its family...

give what we can afford $200 for the both of us OR what you had given us at our wedding we will match. Sometimes we can give a bit more so we will shoot for $250.

$300 as a couple. I wish we could give more, but that's about all we can afford right now, and that is really stretching it for us. We have to save up for weddings, its rough!

We always give what we can...this year we decided on $250 because we had 4 weddings to go to....and with our own wedding, money was tight
I don't think I would ever go below that per couple however!

We haven't really been to a lot of weddings as a couple. His sister just got married in September but that's a little different. I did a ton for her planning wise, basically saved her a.ss. We gave her $300 and secretly got her a dance floor monogram, that was $150. Normally we would give $250-$400 depending on who it was really, family or not, and how much we could spare at the time!

I never give less than $300 for me and DH.. But I will tell you dont always expect someone to give you what you gave them. My friend was married last year. I gave them $300.. and this year at my wedding she gave $100 for both her and her husband.. I was like

$300 as a couple. For friends we were in the bridal party or very close to we give anywhere from $400-600. Depends of course what we can do at the moment

300 per wedding, 450-500 for family and being in bp. Oh...and his co-works get about 400-450 also. Just cause they all do for each other.
