I am hyphenating, I am happy and proud to be taking my FH last name, I love the sound of my new name, but I don't see why I have to get rid of my last name as it has been mine since I was born and is a part of me!

I talked to FH and he doesn't care so I think I might hyphen and just use his last name for most things. I don't care, I just want to keep my name for myself.

My FH is leaving it up to me, and doesn't mind either way. I would be completely in favor of hyphenating it, but we both have ten letter last names! I'm also taking the bar right before the wedding, so I'll be changing my name before I register with the NYS bar association.
Right now I'm leaning towards keeping my full name (including middle name) and also taking his last name rather than hyphenating it so I can use either last name when I want to.

I would love to do this, but is it allowed? I looked at the name change regulations and it says you can hav a compound or a hyphenation, but can it just be two names without hypenation?
