I GOT THE FREAKING DRESS!

As many of you know, there has been much angst surrounding my dress search. I calculated that I tried on over 60 and went to nearly every shop in NYC where dresses are remotely affordable (and a few that were not just for the fun of it - who doesn't like to pretend that money is no object and say things like 'oh! $4500 - what a steal!)

ANYWAY!

Went to RK Bridal, had mom and sis with me, and put this puppy on (hate it on the model) AHHHHH!!!!!!!

It is oh-so-vintage, with the lace overlay, but funky modern with that corset in the back. The pic shows it in white, but I got the light gold with ivory overlay. It really looked beautiful and felt so comfortable. And its a maggie - I couldn't resist - the corset made the girls feel secure and look amazing!!

Deb doll - I am so glad you likey! Your opinion is valued.

I am now stressing over hair. Up or down. I think I will do my own trials prior to each fitting to get the effect....obsessing is so much fun. What the frig will I do after this wedding?!

I ended up ordering the (gorgeous) mantilla cathedral length veil that goes with it (alas, no silk tulle!) and I look SO FREAKING ITALIAN!! DH is going to love it - he is 100% and ravisheds the 50% of me that is! We might as well be in Italy with that vineyard and the mantilla.

eeee!!!!!!!! I'm getting married!! (Something about getting the dress really makes it hit home - you know?!)
