I'm definitely going to have a breakdown
I just need to vent...I decided to DIY my favors to save money. I bought personalized mason jars and am going to fill them with hot chocolate, and they will be cute, so help me god. Howeverrrrrr, I didn't READ all the fine print when I ordered the mason jars and didn't realize that I will have to put the labels on them myself. They came today and now I have 100 dirty mason jars and 100 stickers I have to put on myself. So I have to wash them, label them, fill them, and tie the ribbon on. It's just extra stuff to do that I don't have time to do. Working full time (plus being on call), an active 7 year old daughter, and on the PTA board at school... I don't know what I was thinking with these favors. THEN, I texted my bff to vent and she was like, no worries we can do them on Friday. I'm like, Friday the day before the wedding? NO EFFING WAY! Omg...
Plus, we got A LOT more nos than I expected. Pretty much none of FH's family is coming, I feel terrible for him. We're so far beyond a b-list situation. I gave him 5 blank envelopes with invitations inside today to hand out at the firehouse. lol.
sigh... I know it'll all be worth it, and it'll all work out. I just needed to vent to someone who understands. My BFF/MOH is amazing, but she's been married a long time, she doesn't REALLY get it, you know?

I'm sure it'll all be ok. Just have to take time to figure out your game plan. Sounds like a really cute favor and I think everyone will love them!! I can relate to your fh and his lack of family at the wedding, I'm finding myself in the same position and it's definitely hard. Everything will be good in the end. All the stuf right before is super annoying.

*HUGS* WTH... I don't get so many ppl not coming. You saw I went through that. I thought it was just me and that no one liked me :( Awww hunny.. deep breaths.. I'm sure you'll get the favors done and they'll be awesome. I think everything seemed to be so much more difficult and time consuming than they were at the time. You won't even give a sh*t weeks after- I promise <3

I would say just prep them little by little and come Friday Im sure you can get them down pretty quickly. As far as the RSVPs the most important people will be there and thats all that matters.

I agree. Just do as much as you can each day until you're going blind, then do more the next day when you have time. You still have a month.

A friend offered to wash/label them all for me. When I tried to say, no it's ok we can do it, she yelled at me. LOL. She was like, LET ME HELP YOU!! I get very overwhelmed by the amount of love and support we've received from friends more than our families during this time. It really goes to show, blood isn't always thicker.

I know how you feel. I love me some DIY tasks but as the wedding got closer it became overwhelming. Little by little do the tasks. And give him more evelopes to give out cause i had the same issue and as it gets closer more people will back out- prepare for the inconsiderate ones ::eye roll::

Glad to know you have friends to help. Seriously let people help you. I always struggle with that but if I didn't I really would have no sanity left intact right now. Vent away that is what we are hear for. I was in the same boat 2 weeks ago. Just breath and do as much as you can each day. What has helped me (I am type A personality) I make lists, for each thing I am doing I have a list of what I need to get done. FH and I also go over the game plan for what we plan on doing after work the day before and we come home hitting the ground running with our game plan.

For the DIY project I would ask your MOH or your girlfriends. Maybe you can make a girls night out of it. Order in or cook some food and make a night of it with your girlfriends. Vent away my little chicklette:) that's what we are here for. Big hug! SsssqqqquuuuueeeeezzzzeeeeWelcome New Vendors
