I really need help getting back into bridal mode!

Hi girls! I'm so upset I missed the winery trip, I definately would have been there...when is the next trip???

Not sure if DCgirl82 told you about the tragic thing that happened in my family. I'm sure everyone read about the man in Islip that blew off his arm with a firework. Well he is my brother! And two weeks after that was our e-party...ugh...I was so not into it! But I had it because my brother demanded it. His accident happened on July 3rd, our e-party was July 17th. I wanted to reschedule but I guess I'm glad we did it...just really wasn't too into it...like I should have been.

But now that the e-party is done I need to get back into planning...June 3rd...is too much right around the corner. Yikes! Also want to get pictures up to share with everyone...I needed to throw myself back in here and talk to you girls again...just so hard when your family is going through so much...I'm hoping I'll get the bride gene back soon...

Im so sorry to hear about that. I actually know Pat and Donna - his aunt and uncle. They are my future in laws good friends. I hope he is recovering. Send him my regards. I feel terrible they were suppose to be at my FILS 4th of July party but did not make it bc this tragedy happened.

oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about your brother! take your time getting back into it, just do little things to ease back into the planning mode.

Donna is my godmother. She is our mother's sister. They are amazing people! I love my aunt Donna like she is my 2nd mom! I will let her know you sent your regards...who should I say that you know?

Thank you girls! My brother is okay he just doesn't have an arm right now. He will hopefully get a prostetic in like 8 months. He told me he is going to do one handed kart wheels down the isle. He is my only siblings so he is in our wedding party. Oh geez my wedding is going to be so emotional now. I want to have a dance with my brother rather than my father...I guess I can do both but my brother being alive and being able to even be there is a gift in itself!

It's been rough cause I think I'm babying him too much. I want to do everything for him and I know that is bad I have to stop.

I'm so sorry to hear that. You sound like you have a positive attitude, so I'm sure you and your family will get through this. Your wedding will have that much more love in the room!

Thank you so much everyone! Our family is slowly getting back into the swing of things...my brother is okay, he is holding up pretty well. We, the doctors and everyone is shocked at his recovery, my brother is an OX!!! That's for sure, we tease and say you must have green blood. Well anyone else that blast would have killed them but it only pushed him down cause my brother is so strong that he is right back up fighting. He will get through this but it's a huge adjustment for him and his family as well. I need to stop trying to do things for him, if it were up to me I would do everything for him but in the long run it wont help him. Sucks though cause by the time he gets used to not having an arm it will be time for him to learn now how to use a prostetic arm. He told me he will do everything again and not to worry about him. He is more worried about all of us than him. Really love him to pieces and I'm just so grateful that he is still with us!!!
