I'm not going to bed yet. The Kerry camp is saying the fianl vote tally could narrow the margin to 50,000 votes in Ohio and then once the provisional ballots are in, who knows?

I can accept that Bush won - I voted for Kerry, but Bush appears to be the clear winner and I think having a winner decided today is better for the country rather than having it tied up in the courts for the next few weeks (which may very well happen anyway.)

But what really scares me is the election of Jim Demint in one of the Carolinas (i believe he took John Edward's seat) in the senate. He believes Abortion should be illegal in ALL cases (including rape and incest) and homosexuals and unmarried parents should not be teaching in the public schools. WHAT?????

Regardless of whether you are Democrat or Republican, I think extremists on both sides are pretty scary - and this guy scares me to death!!!!

It is a sad sad day for our country.

I am seriously praying for the troops in Iraq and for all of the young people who are in the age range for being drafted...which is inevitable

ETS: AND...it sucks even more that the democrats lost more senate seats. It is usually a good balance to have the majority of the senate be the made up of the party that is opposite of the president and now they are all the same

I heard that too!! I coudn't believe it! He said that he didn't feel unmarried pregnant women should teach! It amazes me that there are still places in our country that are so ***-backward and would vote for someone like this.

I am feeling very sad this morning too. I was so hoping that John Kerry would win. But, unfortunately we have Bush for another four years. One thing this election has taught me is how important it is to stay politically informed.

I agree! Although to the Middle East, it didnt matter who became President, they could honestly care less........b/c it would have made no difference to them.

If Bush would stop supporting Israel and stop the attacks overseas, then Bin Ladin would serioulsy back off from that. And you know what, my stomach is in knots, b/c Bush has no intentions of doing so.
