I don't ever want to leave New York, but IF I did, I would want to live in the Carribbean ~ especially Barbados, which is where my grandfather grew up.

Reality...will stay somewhere close to NYC because of FH's job...so we'll probably end up in NJ or maybe PA...hopefully we're out of here within 2 years...I refuse to buy a home in NY.
Fantasy...somewhere in the South...South Carolina, Georgia...love that southern hospitality and I always wished I was a southern belle.
We moved to San Diego as well...mainly b/c of the weather...I was miserable in the cold winters...and DH can not stand the humidity in the Southeast...and I did not want the uberheat of Arizona...
It has turned out to be perfect paradise... how can you argue with 10 rainy days a year ...less than 5 days over 90...rarely getting lower than the 50's in winter...

Originally FH and I discussed moving to Florida, but we are sort of changing our minds now and thinking about Pennsylvania. We saw some extremely enormous and beautiful homes there for very reasonable prices. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Helen-Yeah, John wants to get out of New York. He was thinking of Nevada. He can get alot of work out there.
I love Boston but I don't want the cold of winter.
My sister lives in Oregon & I LOVE it out there! But, I think I want to try the south! (I've been watching to many 'south' movies Sweet Home Alabama, Hope Floats & Steal Magnolias )

If we had to move now, Arizona, because my parents live there, and my brother and his wife and 2 adorable girls live there.
We're planning on retirement in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. We figure we can sell our LI house for good money and roll it into a really nice place there, and play lots of golf and enjoy the ocean in our old age!

i did move out of ny - as soon as i graduated hs. first i went to school in pennsylvania - too landlocked for me. then i went to boston. solved the landlocked problem but way too cold and windy. so now i'm in virginia - right outside dc - and love it!

We are moving to Georgia after we get married...his sister already lives down there and we fell in love with it when we visited....SO MANY NY'ers down there!!!
