wow! And the promotion of 4.75% until April 15th is still on, so pile the $$ in now! That's good to know that when the promotion is over, we still get 4%!

Re: ING Direct
I jut opened my account a couple of weeks ago because of the promo rate.
On my account, the rate yesterday dipped to 3.something and today is at 4.0%. Shouldnt it be in the promo rate until 4/15?

A lot of banks are going to start offering these accounts. Citibank is offering 4.5% in their online high yield savings accounts.

But do you have to leave it in untouched for certain amount of time? ING gives you 4% and you can transfer and withdraw anytime.

Re: ING Direct
I have a Capital One account and I loved it because there aren't any minimums.....I love when I can transfer money and watch it grow without being able to have easy access to it....=)

Re: ING Direct
Emigrant Direct.com has a 4.5% rate right now. And you can transfer money any time, no minimum....
I don't know if you ladies have money to tie up for a year, but a new bank opened up on Old Country Road in Westbury, called State Bank of LI and they're offering 5.25% for a 12 month CD. If you were interested in a 6 month it would be 4.75%. Minimum is $2500. And of course this would be guaranteed for the period you put the money in, unlike those savings accounts that can fluctuate.

ING you can have 5.00 in the account you dont have to have a lot of $$ so backs you have to have at least over 1000.00
