for me its too much, but if you have if and fall in love with something then its your personal choice. I had a hard time finding a dress that i loved on me and if i ended up finding something that cost more than what i had set in my budget i prob would have spent it though it would kill me to have to hehe)

i don't think there really is any right or wrong answer. although you only wear the dress once it is one of the most important days of your life so as long as it isn't breaking the bank then go for it!! my dress was about that, but honestly i want to sell it after the wedding.. i don't see the need to let it sit in a box forever although my fiance doesn't want me to sell it he wants me to save it forever lol

if you are truly in love with it..no! i think its a personal decision! and if its 'the one' don't pass it up! on the other hand..i personally didn't want to spend a fortune on something i was going to wear once..id rather put it towards a house..but thats just my opinion..

if you have it spend it. you can't take money to the grave with you. i mean... you can... but then it's just burried treasure.

i could never see spending that much on a dress, heck, i'm car shopping right now and don't want to spend it on a used car!!

but if you have that kind of money to spend on a dress, why not? isn't that what money is for?

hmm... it's really up to you. if you can afford it and you love it then go for it. don't know if that helps.

my dress was over 6,000 and it is worth every penny. To each their own!

I think it depends on whether or not you are in love and it's 'Your' dress - and whether or not you can afford it! If you can - then don't hold back and go for it! My mom bought my dress (Kleinfeld's) - they ask you up front what you want to spend. At first, I was taken aback, but then, I realized that I did NOT want my mom spending over a certain amount - so I didn't even bother looking at $5000 dresses - I love love love my dress and it was about $2800!!!

that's a personal preference, but I know that I would never spend that much on a gown.
