Is anyone else SUPER stressed about $$$?

FH and I are used to living a really comfortable life because he makes a good living, and the money that I made from my job was like our play money. But this wedding is draining our walletts like you wouldnt believe! I get paid again this Friday and my paycheck has already been spent. I know that we chose this for ourselves, and im sure I wont regret any of it in the end....BUT THIS IS HARD!!! I cant wait till were back to normal life after the wedding!!

I think we all are...Yes FH and I promised we would not go out too often, eat out often, or spend money on non-necessary things...but we are both so used to living comfy and splurging..ughhhhh

I was out this weekend shopping and didnt buy anything b/c I didnt feel comfy..all I kept thinking was about the wedding....Theres gourgeous summer clothes on the racks...whispering my name!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lisa..buy me...you know you want to!

I just had to walk away....=(

saving suuuuuuuuuuuucks.

I'm baaaaaad at saving and FH is terrible too (we enable each other to be irresponsible.....). It's been pretty rough and we make decent money as well.

I'm counting down the days until I can stop scrimping.

Ugh, I know what you mean. I'm always worrying about how we're going to pay for this wedding. I though we'd be getting more financial help than we are. My parents are giving up some money, but I have a brother and sister in college and tuition kind of trumps wedding. But I just assume we'll figure it out somehow, we try to save, doesnt always happen. But in the end we'll be married so I guess everything will be alright - even if we're living in a cardboard box

Ohhh...dont even get me started about shopping. I'm practically crying when I go to the mall.

yeah and the worst part is that I was actually feeling ALOT better a few weeks ago, we were on track, and able to even pay some things in advance. THEN of course things cant go right so all of a sudden things just have been going wrong.

I had paid off my CC years ago, these are all from when i was 20-21...well i thought they were all taken care but now to find out i had 2 left so i've had to pay a couple thousand dollars for this...Then something else came up and had to put money into that too...So we went from being ahead to now being behind bc this is a couple thousand dollars that we were supposed to use for the wedding but couldn't

this is why im glad i havent been splurging and saving ALOT otherwise i wouldn't even have the money to come up with the stupid CC payments. And i wouldve been missing these CC payments and wedding payments. Now just really have to catch up quick

trust me...i freak out everytime i think about $$

but fh reassures me that it will all be ok. but really i feel the pressure of saving for the wedding.

i just pray to the money gods and hope they hear me.

this is soo funny! Sounds like me and my FH!

I know that were gonna be ok in the end because we plan on moving to NC pretty soon after the wedding and were gonna end up making a lot of money on the house we live in now, so we'll use that to pay whatever else we owe at that time on the wedding. But were really trying to pay almost the entire wedding off by the time October comes around so that just makes for really stressful saving now.
Im glad that im not the only one in this boat. We'll get through it ladies!!

i wasn't until last night. We are very lucky our parents are paying for most of our wedding. Its the thought of buying a house and being able to afford the electric cable and everything else. I was ok with money i paid all my credit cards off and i have two more car payments left. The FH has his masters that he is paying and his car payments and credit cards. I think everything will be ok but he got really upset last night about houses.

FH does that on his own for our savings...

YUP! But we just did a lot of money moving this weekend that will enable us to save way more. Hopefully it will work!

i think everyone is going through this - it is so hard!

but we are doing really well with the saving and i am so proud of us! i think we will be 'okay' in the end - well we have no choice since we are paying for it ourselves lol

Im very jealous (not in a bad way, I promise) of people who are having their weddings paid for...or even partially paid for. It has to be such a relief for you guys. I know that my family would give more if they could, but the money just isnt there.

It is hard saving!! I completely understand that.

Especially since I only work 3 days a week because I go to school full time the other 2 days!! So my paychecks are always smaller during the school year than during hte summer! But thankfully I get paid good money and I also graduate this month- so back to full time!!!

But...FH's get a great paycheck and we were smart enough when we first started dating to get an INGdirect account together- we have a lot of $$ saved in there thankfully...and it is great interest!

But I have like $25,000 in school loans fmor undergrad so I am going to grad school and wont have to worry paying off that and also another $30,000 for Grad in loans haha

But FH and I are kinda stressed about saving but we understand we are fine living in the apt above his parents house for about 2 yrs before we can afford a house!!
