Re: Is flying to Italy the night of my wedding crazy?

We did something similar to this and it worked out fine. We had an amazIng cruise in the Mediterranean and it was awesome. The one thing that saved us though is while the first day we were in Venice, after that we had a day at sea which we really needed. So if your cruise has an early day at sea, you should be fine.

Re: Is flying to Italy the night of my wedding crazy?

I am flyng the next day at 8am and I think it's slighly crazy.

I am not sure you will have time.

You need to change, get your luggage, say goodbye, etc. And you have to be there at least 1 to 2 hours (depending if domestic or international flight) in the airport. Go through security, etc...

That would be too stressful for me! OR you will need to be very organized. It depends where you reception is and how long it is also going to take you to go to the airport, etc...

Good luck!!!!

Re: Is flying to Italy the night of my wedding crazy?

dont try to rush out of the wedding to catch a flight - wait till the 10th and do something local for a week till you can catch the cruise or fly to italy a couple of days later and spend a few days there
i would definately say trying to get out of there and to the airport will ruin your day - plus you'll be exhausted. not a good way to start a honeymoon

We're going to wait!

Ok, after doing some thinking about it - we've decided to wait until the 10th. Well, we're going to fly into Italy on the 7th, so we have a few days to do some sight seeing.

I'm a frequent cruiser and I always fly in a day early, so I don't even know why I entertained the thought of the cruise on the 30th. Plus, I get a free night at the Inn at Fox Hollow on my wedding night, so I'd be missing out on that too.

To those girls who mentioned where I'd be spending my wedding night - you're absolutely right - an airplane is not the place to do it.. I totally didn't even realize I'd be missing out on that. Although, I'm not totally ruling out joining the mile high club!

Just kidding.

Thank you for all of your replies and input!!!

Oh, i could never all that in one day. You are also counting on everything going according to plan and are not leaving anything to go wrong. Also, I want to celebrate with my friends after my wedding.
