I really want to get the glass that you put into the mezzuzah! Which one did you get? I want the purple one that I saw at Yussels.

Re: Jewish Brides

I've seen the glass/Mezuzah in magazines, but don't know where to buy it. Where is this Yussel's you all talk about? How much do they charge for the Mezuzah?

Re: Jewish Brides

The glass/mezzuzah that I liked was $160 in Yussel's. They had a few styles though. A similar one is $250 in the Source for Everything Jewish catalog. Yussels is on Merrick Ave, in Merrick. I'd give you better directions, but I don't live on LI!

Re: Jewish Brides

We got the glass that DH broke put into a glass cube from Yussels. We did the blue glass and it looks beautiful! It's so cool and I'm so happy to tell people that that's the glass that DH broke! I think Yussels charged about $200 for it - my brothers bought it as a wedding gift for us along with the Ketubbah.

Re: Jewish Brides

A matted kettubah is like a paper frame around it, sort of like a strong cardboard in colors, we got our kettubah at Yussels. It is the one with the birds on it and it talks about winter turning into spring, etc. I do not have a scanner otherwise I would post the pic.

Can you mount it yourself with spray adhesive and foamcore??
What does the usual mounting entail?

Re: Jewish Brides

I have no idea but do not want to risk doing anything myself with the kettubah- it is a work of art and an expensive piece of art, so I am going to get it professionally done.

Re: Jewish Brides

Are you matting it for display for the guests to see? If that is the case then I understand.
Also, I figured how to post mine if you'd like me to post yours. Do you know the name of the artist?

We ordered it from them online!! It was easier than trying to get out to them.

Re: Jewish Brides

We bought our kettubah into Stu Art in Baldwin. They are so nice there. We picked out the matte for it, and will have it at the end of this week. They also recomened to us to get a clear thing to cover it with so when we display it at the reception no one will get it dirty. We are going to get that there as well. The artist of my kettubah is Mickee, I am going to t ry to do a search online.
