okay so FH and I first met while working together at our local library so we thought it would be a cute idea to take engagement pictures in or around a library. I'm in the process of contacting the NYC public libary cause that is like my #1 choice cause there's so many great photo-op
I have a feeling through that it's going to fall through so I'm asking you girls if you know of any public library's or studies that we could take pictures at?
The one we actually met in is out cause it's small...kinda ugly...and I don't know the managers anymore so they probably wouldn't let us do it anyway

So I sent in my email of intent to the woman and she very quickly responded with the following:
Dear Lori, Thank you for your e-mail. Unfortunately, having engagement and wedding photos taken either inside or outside the building, is something reserved for those people having their wedding receptions here. It is part of our bridal package. I am sorry we can't help. Best, Lis

Im glad you decided to contact the NYC public library. Like i told you before, they do weddings there, events and big parties so they might be able to accomodate you, i hope so. Honestly, when i was looking through my locations mag, and i saw the NYC public library and they had a pic of a wedding i was shocked, it was honestly one of the nicest pics on there, it looked gorgeous.

When I went to the site and was looking into their policies I saw some pictures that they have of their 'ballrooms' so to speak and decided if I was rich that's where I would have had the reception

since you were like the princess of the english department - i bet there is a place at SJU you can take them. . . maybe a special collection part of the library that is 'prettier' than the main part?? check that out too. . .
we spent so many days/hours/weeks in that place. . . it would be nice to go back for something good. . . .
omg remember that place . . . a cup of coffee - a muffin, 73 books . . . and 14 hours later. . . . a paper is born!

oooh! So I just did a search, and the Jefferson Branch Market branch Library was voted the most beautiful library in ny - back in 2001.
