Do you all live with your FH? We are moving in together soon but worried about the whole premarital backlash thing from the family.

We live together. Have since day 1 really..
We live with my entire family now.. They love him like he's one of us.. which by now, he is! lol

Tell them living together is cheaper than getting a divorce. That's what my dad said when he got the evil eye from nay sayers.

we have lived together since like the 2nd month.
i think it is alot better this way. you get all the quirks out before the marriage!

we are going to move in together in the next 6 months. My parents are cool about it. His dad is cool, but his mom isn't. She's ok with it, but not thrilled.

IMHO I've already decided to spend the rest of my life with FH. I decided to before we got engaged. Everything else is to make it official and legal.

definitely, im older too though, if i were young and moved in with him, i dont think they would like it but ive been on my own for a long time

We have lived together for almost 2 years now. I think it's great to live w. FH before hand, so you know what it is like. And then you don't have to worry about moving all your stuff after the weddings b/c it always takes a couple of weeks to get situated in any place you move to. You can just enjoy it and each other.

I also wanted to add that I don't live with FH. But after I graduate in Dec. we will start looking for a place. We decided the longer we wait the more we can save. We'd like to buy a house soon after the wedding!

We live together too.
My dad wasn't jumping for joy when I broke the news but we talked about it and he is ok with it. I mean what dad likes to think that his little girl is sleeping with someone. (And by that I really mean sleeping!!)
I am pretty sure that he has felt better about it since we got engaged.

We don't live together and we won't live together until after we're married. Both sets of parents are old school Italians, so they wouldn't be too happy with us. I would absolutely love to live with him though.

That's my mom's favorite response when random relatives give her a hard time for 'letting' me live with FH.
People are always going to have something to say, and they all feel it's their right to express it to you. Listen to the people that matter, but do what's right for you and FH.

FH and I have been living together for over five years.
I haven't lived at home since I was 19.....my parents didn't really have a say. I am my own person who makes her own decisions. I told my family if they had a problem to keep it to themselves.
Suprisingly...they did.

I do not but wish I did. We are saving for our house, so for right now we opted to live apart and rent free. I think you are always better off living together beforehand. You'll get all those stupid fights out of the way.
I'm very jealous of those that get to live together during these exciting times.

moving in June 1st- my lease is up then and it would be dumb to sign a new one year lease when our wedding would be 9 months away. It is just making things easier for us.

That's exactly what happened to us. My lease was up, so to save money he asked me to move in to his house.
