Macy's Bridal In Manhasset--Questions

I am looking to visit this store on Saturday (am I crazy to brave the Manhasset stores the week before Xmas?? ) and would like to know information from brides who have been there recently. I did a search, but some of the info was from 6 or more months ago. I have heard very good things and some bad things.
I plan on going first thing in he morning. Should I make an appointment? If so how long should it be (do they rush you?)? I know the style I want and am interested in Marisa gowns--any one purchase a Marisa from this store?
Can you recommend making the appointment with a saleperson tat was particularly helpful? Thanks!

I don't know much about Macy's but here is what I do know.... get the very first appointment of the morning. More time to spend with you and way less crowded... learned that from Kleinfelds experience. I agree with the choice to first go for dress before anythign considering that you are under the gum with the clock- seven month wedding. I wouldn't sacrifice quality though and looking. Look at some other places.-Bridal Salon, Reflect, Kleinfeld- places where you could see a lot of pretty/beautiful dresses in a little time.

Hi! I dont think they take appointments actually. They have all of their dresses out for you to look at. I didn't order my gown there, but am ordering my bridesmaids gowns. I think they are VERY friendly there! I got a really good vibe from them! Good luck! I would definately check them out!

I bought my dress from there about a month ago.

I thought the service both times was outstanding!!! I highly recommend Laura - she didn't pressure us at all, and was so patient when my mom kept pulling out more dresses for me to try on. The first time I was there over 3 hours

I bought a demetrios dress from there, so I can't really comment on Marisa gowns. I can tell you - that I missed the demetrios trunk sale by 1 day - and Laura still gave me the 10% off. My alterations were also capped at $175 - which is definitely good. My GF who got married in October also got her dress from there and didn't have any problems.

I has the first appointment on a sunday- they let you pick out what dresses you want to try on and what I liked about it was that each dress had attached to the bag a picture of it from a magazine or something so that you knew what it looked like. I only tried on dresses from Demetrios but they definitely had other brands just ask when you call. I didn't feel rushed at all.

Also - both times I went was Sunday's. It got a little crowded, but nothing crazy.

They do recommend you make an appointment - I know girls without appointments were waiting awhile for help!

I ordered my dress from there and the main reason being how great the sales people were. I went once on a Sat morning first thing and it was fine, other than that I went during the week!

A friend of mine went there without an appointment and they were kind of annoyed with her for not having an appointment. She felt like they did not give her very much attention, but that may be just because she didn't have an appointment. They are probably much better if you have an appt.

I ordered my dress from Macys. They are very helpful there. I usually deal with Betty. If you plan on trying on dresses really want help, I suggest you make an appt. Lots of Luck!

I was not happy at all with their service. I was the only bride in the shop at the time and they were rude and inconsiderate.
