We are also going on the RC western carribean cruise for our honeymoon. We are leaving March 30 from Miami. When are you going?

I can't wait to read your posts on Milleridge. I am getting so excited becasue the big day is almost here.

All I have left to do is get tuxedos, presents for the wedding party, make up the song list, find a place to take pictures between the church and reception, book a place for the rehearsal dinner and find shoes. My fitting is in 2 weeks and i haven't even started looking for shoes.

I just got my invitation proof today and I got the chills. It was so exciting to acually see it in writing.

Hey guys today marks my 4 months mark, I cant believe it, time is flying by so quick.

I have to finish regestering this weekend hopefully, it just not as fun as I thought and i promised myself I would not want to peek once Dec hits, so I need to finish so I dont notice anything gone.

Actually I was adding online the other day and some stuff is gone already, thats why I want to finish.

When is everyone sending out invites?
and what date are you putting on RSVP?
please include wedding date, so we get a idea

Amy…. Congrats about the good news with the dress. I know that’s a major relief.

We are marrying on: March 1
Sending invites out by 12/15/02
RSVP Date: 1/25/03
(figured better a little early than a little late considering the holiday season.)

My dress will be in December 10th....I still have 6 pounds to loose I anticipate going for my first fitting within the first two weeks of the new year.

Our RC cruise is from 3/2-3/9. Reception ends at 1am and our flight leaves at 7am
We originally wanted to extend it for an extra few days but FH is a teacher and can't take too much time during the school year.
Sounds like your just about done except for a few details. Did you block rooms anywhere? If so, where and how much per?

I'll be sure that my post about the Milleridge is VERY detailed. I'm getting excited too. I notice the closer it gets, the more I post.

I got my invitations a couple of weeks ago. I love them. We put an RSVP date of Feb 14th, this way it will stick in people's heads. I also wanted enough time for the late RSVP's before we went to Milleridge with a final count.

AKATYME- We are also leaving for our cruise on Sunday at 7am. I hate to fly so I wanted an early flight so I would just pass out dfrom sheer exhaustion.
No I didn't block any rooms b/c I realy don't have too many out of towners. Thank goodness.

I go for my first fitting next week. I still need shoes. I 've had no time to look for shoes since me and my FH started remodeling our apartment. I finally have running water and a toliet. Yeah
Everyone keeps saying that the next couple of months are going to fly. I just want the day to come already. I keep imagining walking down the aisle and having our first dance.

I am following the same logic as charliesgirl with my invitations timing:

Wedding date: March 29th
RSVP date : February 14th
I am planning on having all invitations mailed by mid-January (the 15th at the latest).

My FSIL had a hard time getting responses back for her wedding last year, so I am leaving myself plenty of time to make phone calls.

. I already got my invitations printed but I want to get some opinions on this.

My FH has a very Italian first name, but everyone calls him Charlie. So on the invitation part I put his formal name but then on the reception card i did this:
Cocktails and Reception in honor of Andrea & Charlie, blah, blah

What do you think? Am I not following etiquette.

Charliesgirl - I think using his full name on the invit. and the name that everyone knows his as on the recept. card is OK!!!

I ordered my invitations today - I plan to mail them out on Jan. 4 (Saturday, Thats the only day I can get to the post office) and I put the RSVP date as Feb. 14th (thanks to all the great ideas from this thread )

I tried to get my MOH dress today, but no luck (I'm not having bridesmaids, just MOH)

I went with my mom this weekend to look for a dress for her. She found two dresses she liked at My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck. I was surprised that their prices were very reasonable. She will make her decision by this weekend.

I also found shoes!! At Nordstroms in Roosevelt Field. Eevrything is coming along.

One more thing. our bathroom and kitchen are done in our apartment. Now I just ahve to clean the mess that the workers left.

Its not so bad this week since its only a 3 day work week.

Charliesgirl I think the whole name and invite thing is perfect

My invites should be here soon, I have to go to ups site after this a track them.

I found shoes I like online but they dont have straps so I dont know if that is such a good idea, I am also going to buy some white (ballerina ish) slippers to where for dancing and running rampid later in the night.

I am getting alittle nervous everything is going by so quick.

ONe of my mother in law to be friends told me she would be told me she would be at my shower, so I think the invites are out.

I was supposed to be told when it is since my mom and sister live in SC and would be flying in, i figure it was silly to make it surprise so I told them not to bother BUT noone has told me the date yet, so this makes me Nervous too. I am pretty sure it will be in Jan. I didnt even finish regestering, and when I went to add online I saw some stuff gone, so I better finish and not peek anymore.

I'm going to see Park Ave. Photo Wednesday night.
I think I will go with one of the two house DJ's the watermill has... (I'm not that concerned with the music, is this bad not to be concerned???)

dont worry about not being concerned its your wedding day you do what you want.

we are using a florid affair, they are on this site if you forum mail or post in vendors they will give you a quote online.

for photograher as you may have seen a bunch of us are using VIP

I booked my flowers!!! One more thing that I can check off my list and only 99 more things to go
I called Macy's to check up on my dress...it should be in mid-Jan. My Inivitations should be in next week.
I'm going on vacation the 7-14 of Dec., I'm going to Phoenix to visit friends...I hope I can find shoes, x-mas shop and stuff like that while we are away. If I would have known that we were getting engaged and married so soon I would not be going away but the tickets were already purchased

Amy everything seems to be working out great.

I got my invites last week and I love them.

I brought in the envelopes to work today cause a coworker offered to do the caligraphy for me (which is fantastic).

everything else is great.
I am getting nervous about my bridal shower. I was pretty sure it would be in Jan, since I have main people coming from out of state and I was supposed to know the exact day. But it seems they decided not to tell me.
It could be anytime now.
This weekend, I have something to do friday, saturday and sunday, so I am hoping its not then, any other weekend would be fine.
I just will have to really clean my apt and keep it that way so I have room for family to stay and then the stuff.

how are all you girls doing, what is going on?

Hey March Brides!

I hit the four month mark on Friday...I can't believe how fast time is going by. I just picked up my groomsmen gifts last week, invites should be in this week, and we will be ordering our rings this weekend. Still have a lot to do, but taking it one day at a time.

I hope everyone's planning is going well and as stressfree as possible (especially as the holidays approach).
