Re: March 2003 Brides !!!!!!
I was planning on not sending out Christmas cards, but we have received so many (our Save the Dates had our return address on it) that my FH and I said that we should probably send them out. I was thinking about only doing close family and friends and anyone that already sent us a card. The only problem is I have no idea when I am going to do this since Christmas is less than two weeks away.Regarding marriage licenses, I think we will go sometime in February. I will most likely go to the Town of Islip since it is closest to our apartment and they have one night they are open until 7:00 (I work in the city, so that works for me).
Planning update...I sent my envelopes to Inkspun today for the laser calligraphy. Since I e-mailed by addresses to them, I should have a proof this afternoon. One more thing off the 'to do' list.

Re: March 2003 Brides !!!!!!
Sorry I have been so out of the March loop! I am off from school for three weeks so I have been turbo wedding planning! We ordered our rings, bought the parents and bridal party gifts, ordered the direction cards, went shopping for headpiece and shoes.... I really need to book the transportation and finalize the guest list this week. Can you believe I don't even have all of my addresses yet?? My FH has been a little behind the ball in getting his friend's addresses.I can't even believe all of us March brides are sending/getting ready to send our invites! Time is flying.
About the shoes and headpieces. For those of you who haven't gotten your headpieces yet, I have to highly highly recommend a woman on 38th between 5th and 6th. My cousin used her last month. I wend to C&H also - on 40th between 7th and 8th, where a lot of ladies on the boards have gotten their headpieces, but I think the other place has a much bigger selection. Almost twice as many and she hand makes them too. As for shoes I went to like 5 or 6 stores already and just can't find anyting I really like. I am thinking of ordering these from myglassslipper.com. What do you think?

I love the shoes!!! They are a little to high for me, but they are great!!I am still on the shoe hunt. I do not want the heel to be too high because me and FH are the exact same height without shoes on!!

Re: March 2003 Brides !!!!!!
Hey there March Brides!!!I dropped my invitations off this weekned to my calligrapher so I should have them after Christmas. Since its going to be dead at work this week I am going to print out my directions cards to the church and the reception.
I still have to find gifts for the wedding party and find a place to hold the rehearsal dinner. I also need to get our song list to the band. I can't wait until the holidays are over so I can start doing wedding planning again.
Our furniture is arriving on Friday. I can't wait. We just finished painting and installing carpets. I am so excited that our first home, well apartment is almost done.
Here are my shoes:

Re: March 2003 Brides !!!!!!
Hey March Brides...I wanted to check in because I am leaving on Wednesady for Florida to visit FH's parents for the holidays and will not be back online until the new year. One question for you guys....my Bridesmaids are wearing sage green dresses and I am trying to figure out what we want to do in terms of shoes. I am trying to avoid the dyable (spelling?) shoes because I have found you have to have all the girls go to the same place because when we have gone to different stores, the colors were very different. What do you think about a light silver fabric shoe? I have seen them a few places and think they would look nice with the dress, but am looking for some honest opinions.
Thanks and happy holidays!

Re: March 2003 Brides !!!!!!
That sounds good. I was thinking of the same thing b/c my girls dresses are a green/blue color and I know that if they dye them one shoe looks green and the other looks blue. Are you telling your girls that open toe shoes is OK. I really don't like they way it looks especially if the weather is cold and they wear pantyhose. I think open toe is great for summer weddings. What's your opinion?

Re: March 2003 Brides !!!!!!
I am letting my girls pick out there own shoes, so its there choice and they dont have to be the same. Just seems easier to me and since they are paying.if they where open toe shoes I will suggest the open toed stockings be worn.
well girls have a very merry christmas I am hoping to get outta here soon.
hope santa is good to you all.
bye
