My cousin got married this past Saturday. During the reception, one of her guy friends gets the microphone from the DJ and proposes to his girlfriends right there on the dance floor.
I don't think I'd be too thrilled if someone did that at my wedding, but I wouldn't let it ruin my day either. I don't know how I'd feel if my FH proposed like that.

One of my Bms who is younger than all of our friends by at least 4 years and kinda immature...said to me when I got engaged, 'I better be engaged by your wedding so I have something to show off!, ooh better yet I'll my bf to propose AT your wedding!'
I told her if she even thought about that...they'd both be flying out before she had a chance to say yes!
I love the girl, but she's immature and needs to be the center of attention.
How rude is that!! I'm not a Bridezilla by any means, but it's a special day for ME & FH. BUTT OUT!!

I would release some serious FURY on the guy if he was at my wedding. That is rude, immature and not very imaginative. Imagine, stealing someone elses wedding moments to create your own. The NERVE!

I was just reading this and couldn't believe it.
I was by no means a bridezilla and was very laid-back, but one of my friends (who broke off her engagement to this guy) is thinking about getting engaged again to the same guy. Her bf jokingly said to me once that maybe he would do it at our wedding...I looked him straight in the eye and said if he even so much as thought that, I would not only throw a fit and make a fool of him but I would have him out on his *** so fast he would get whiplash.
If the bride and groom knew about it and was okay with it, then that's great....but otherwise, I find that highly inappropriate and tacky. They worked so hard for their big day and it's not right for someone else to take advantage.

Every couple that I know of that got engaged at someone elses wedding have all gotten divorced. I think it's bad luck....and slightly tacky (IMHO)

I'm not sure how upset I'd be but I definitely think it's rude if they don't discuss it with the bride and groom first...it's their day and a lot of work goes into that one day...why couldn't he take her somewhere after the reception and do it??? I get the whole romance thing but comeon it's someone else's romance

I don't know how I would feel about it. Depends on who it was but I can tell you this much...
If the DJ/MC ever lets that mic leave his hand other then for the BM/MOH speach he is a dead man!!!!!!

FH proposed at a wedding on New Years Eves. However , he was cool about it becuase he kept it to a really private moment. He says that it was meant to be on the Brooklyn Bridge after the wedding but he was carried away with the whole love moment of the wedding. I didnt mind at all, but I made sure it was quiet between us only so we dont steal the brides 'thunder'!!

Its a moment that I coudnt control...I have to admit that I was weirded out but we were in the lobby and it became a moment between us. As long as anyone else had nothing to do with it...I didnt mind at all.

too funny! Seriously why would it even bother you if noone knows about it. I've heard of people doing worst things in others weddings. Anyway if at my wedding some dude gets caught up in the moment and propses to his girl.......I wouldnt care. If my wedding was the time and place for a moment like that it will be remembered even more so. In my opinion whats appropriate or inappropriate should be to each persons discretion. I would have been so embarrased though if he made it into a big deal there...oh my god I would have felt terrible, but nobody knew....that too me made it more special.
