Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look

Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look

I am curious to see if everybody was happy with their decisions. Such as hair, make up, shoes, DOJ, dress and etc. I guess since during the planning we all were confused about some things, torn between 2 ideas. COmfort of shoes over look of shoes for some, subtle make up or dramatic, hair up or hair down and the list goes on. But in the end, were you happy with what you choose or did you wish you would've gone another way.

Such as: doing hair up and not working out day of, or hair down. Doing subtle make up or dramatic and now seeing your pics thinking maybe should've gone another way. Maybe not listening to people and then realizing they were right, or listening to others and not going with what you had in mind and regretting it. Even dress, maybe thinking you should've picked something else.

I guess seeing all these new members and having the same questions we used to have about what would be better and everyone having a difference of opinion on what will be better for day of. Is there anything you would've changed, was there any advice you were given that you thought was wrong. One big one I see on here all the time is airbrush vs regular. On your wedding day were you happy with either decision. We're you happy with your hair?

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look

I loved how I looked at my wedding. Sabrina and Carolyn did a great job on me.

Eta: I didn't have my makeup airbrushed, and it lasted all night. I wore my hair up b/c I love that look. I do not regret paying someone to do my makeup... my everyday look is fine, but not 'special' enough for my wedding.

so glad to hear you loved everything. I feel bad because I've seen some girls saying after that they didnt like their hair or it didnt last all night and got messed up.

I loved my hair (which was up) and my makeup (airbrushed). The only thing that I would have changed is that I would have worn a dress with a corset top. It ended up fitting me big and I had to keep on pulling it up towards the end of the night. I wasnt even able to wear the underwear that I bought for the dress bc since they are slimming, the dress would have fallen off me.
Well the good thing is that i ALMOST but didnt end up flashing everyone when I did the bo-k toss. Imagine that

I ended up losing some weight from the time of my last fitting to my wedding day, i tried hard not to lose anymore but it happened regardless. It wasnt that bad but not as fitted as it was at last fitting. But hey look on the bright side, its better than the dress not fitting.

Looking back I don't really regret anything...the only thing is I should've gotten cuter shoes! No one saw them, and I was comfy all night, but I love the pics of people's shoes - I don't know why! But, mine were very plain...

Sitting here right now it kinda makes me sad - my wedding was only 2 months ago, and it's already starting to be a blur!!!!!

I Loooooooved my hair! In fact the trials did not do my hair justice ! I added extensions , because I wanted long, curly , half up hair and Kacey ( kholouds (sp?) beauty) was amazing. All of my BM's got their hair done with her and she was fantastic. Zorida ( who works with Kacey ) did airbrush on everyone, and the makeup lasted all day and night .

I was so happy overall with my day of look, and even though i stressed about my dress , once everything was put on together , I loved the final product. I think I stressed myself out over it too much , and i just should have trusted my taste

The only thing I changed last minute was my hair piece . My first was a comb from barrons which looked a little 80's once i got it, so I changed my mind and got a regina B comb which i LOVE.

Ha - I lost some weight too...and no joke, in a pic that my aunt took, their is a 'wardrobe malfunction'. Luckily I caught it before lots of people saw, but that was kinda embarrassing!!!!

overall, i was very happy w/ my day of look. i loved my hair and make up. i didn't obsess over things like my DOJ, head piece or veil. i just found things right away and knew i made the right choice.

my only doubt to this day is my dress. each time i tried on my dress, i loved it, then doubted it when i left the dressing room. my fave part of my dress was the back, and in pics i realize the front was more plain that i would have wanted. but i loved about the dress is that i felt it was really nice for a winter wedding - the bright white of the satin, and the way the beading reflecting in the light. i felt like a winter princess. that's what sold me on my dress. had i gotten married in a different season, i doubt that would have been my dress. i would also have preferred a corset dress - my dress was TIGHT after eating CH food

Overall I think I was happy with almost everything BUT I think I would have done my hair differently. I just had the front pulled back and the rest in curls. My curls started to fall half way throught the night and I was very hot. It didn't look horrible but I had to keep trying to fix it as best as I could. I definitely should have worn it all up.

Overall I was happy. Hair I loved. M/U lasted all night (I used regular) but the only thing is I wish I would have gone more dramatic with my eyes. I don't feel like they popped enough on camera. But I was still happy enough....eh, it's over and donewith, nothing I can do about it now.....funny how our attitudes change about how important it all really was months later.

I was very happy with my look. My make-up was not airbrushed. It stayed on all night. Also was very happy with my hair. It DID NOT move. HA HA! My hairdresser made sure it stayed. The only thing I wish I would have remembered was my lipstick, because after the church and kissing all those people i had none. I forgot it at the hotel. So I wish I would have paid the extra cash for the all day lipwear.

I am super happy wih everything about my wedding day look. I loved my shoes, dress, jewels. My make up came out awesome and stayed all night (I got traditional makeup, no airbrush). I loved my hair, even though the curls came out and it was pretty much straight. I kinda expected that to happen anyways, it was rainy and my hair doesn't hold a curl very well, so it was so not a big deal. I was having a great time, and my hair was the last thing on my mind.

Definitely! They would've had a lot more to remember than the open bar

I had brought a bunch of pics to work right after the wedding, and suddenly I looked at it and was like OMG!!! I hid that thing as quick as I could!

You are so right about the lipstick part. Towards the end of the night I have no clue where I had the spare lipstick I was supposed to re-apply.

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look

seems like most were happy with their looks, glad to hear ladies.

Missliss-yeah i know what you mean about the eyes, when i did my trial i realized my eyes didnt stand out as much bc i asked for something more subtle, then in pics i took it didnt stand out. I had never really done smokey eyes, when a few make up artists did it on me they went way overboard and i looked like a racoon, but i have very big eyes so i dont think they knew how to work with my eyes ya know. I was afraid to go with smokey eyes but in the end i just went with it. It's hard because you think you know what you want, or always hearing opinions of what a bride should look like gets to you after a bit and you start going with what you hear. BUT i have to say that I thought you looked AMAZING

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look

I loved everything about my look. But to be honest, I feel like Oksana and Jenn took my general idea and made it 10000 times better so it is isnt like I wanted to look exactly like ONE picture or ONE idea so they just did what they thought would look good and I was VERY happy with how it came out!

I think what some girls do - is they want to replicate an exact picture or style and then it is easy to be disappointed bc everyone's face and hair is so different!
