I am curious to see if everybody was happy with their decisions. Such as hair, make up, shoes, DOJ, dress and etc. I guess since during the planning we all were confused about some things, torn between 2 ideas. COmfort of shoes over look of shoes for some, subtle make up or dramatic, hair up or hair down and the list goes on. But in the end, were you happy with what you choose or did you wish you would've gone another way.
Such as: doing hair up and not working out day of, or hair down. Doing subtle make up or dramatic and now seeing your pics thinking maybe should've gone another way. Maybe not listening to people and then realizing they were right, or listening to others and not going with what you had in mind and regretting it. Even dress, maybe thinking you should've picked something else.
I guess seeing all these new members and having the same questions we used to have about what would be better and everyone having a difference of opinion on what will be better for day of. Is there anything you would've changed, was there any advice you were given that you thought was wrong. One big one I see on here all the time is airbrush vs regular. On your wedding day were you happy with either decision. We're you happy with your hair?

I hated my hair. Hated it Hated it Hated it. I didn't have anyother choice though, the host of the show chose it for me. I did love my make up though and of course I loved my fun dress. DH loved how I looked so I guess that matters most. But if I could do it all over again, I would have taken my hair out, washed it and done it myself.
you looked awesome, Amanda!!!!

Thank you, but I really hated how my hair looked. I told them during the trial I hated that look and I knew deep down that he was going to pick it for me. I really wanted it half up half down. When and if I do day after or trash the dress pics I am doing it my way!!!

i just wanted to say that most of all, i want to look good for my FH - i want to impress him, i want him to say wow this is the most beautiful i have ever seen her.....and no matter what i end up looking like, if he looks at me a certain way, i know that i will be happy with the way it all turned out - totally cheesy but its true.....im sure all of you wow'ed your DHs
I totally get what you're saying. The first makeup trial I went for I wasn't sure if I liked. Then, dh said 'It's not you'...so that confirmed that it wasn't for me. When he saw the second, with a different person, he loved it, so I felt much happier!!!

Ok- I don't want to insult anyone, but I wasn't totally happy with my hair. I felt like it fell out of the curl way too fast and toward the end I just looked like a mess.
Also, I HATED my headpiece! I really wanted to wear a flower in my hair but my mom talked me into the headband. I really kinda regret that decision because its not me. whatever, its nothing major but since you asked.....
ETA: I also got talked into getting a stick to mount my veil on and it was a BIG mistake! It fell out the entire time and totally FACKED my hair up!

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
I loved everything. I was very indecisve and I didn't really like my hair in the trials. But, the day of M. I . A went above and beyond my expectations. We added some extentions and it made a world of difference. I didn't feel like I looked like a different person just a better version of me. I loved everything but, my shoes kind of hurt by the end of the night.

I just felt like it just didn't hold up- maybe it was my hair. I did go for a massage and i got some oil in the back of my hair, she washed it out though, but idk...it could just be me but I look back at some pics and I feel like it looked messy before I even got to the church. I didn't exactly want a 'polished' look, BUT there's a line.
Suffice to say, it wasn't her best effort. I loved the front and the overall look, but ya know...it did bother me a little

ITA. I wanted to have a special wedding day look, but still look like everyday me if that makes sense. I knew that DH would immediately have a comment if my make-up was too much because I rarely wear any. He saw me after both hair and make-up trials and actually liked the 2nd updo that I wore home instead of the 1st that I showed him in pictures. I ended up choosing the 1st but I don't even think he noticed!
my Dh is different, he likes dramatic its so funny bc one day we were driving somewhere and he said to me 'how come you dont wear mac make up' i realized he was talking about the fact that i myself dont do my eyes with eyeshadow, i cant do smokey eyes myself or anything with eyeshadow hahahaha. It is weird bc most guys i know like less make up, that was my experience in the past but hes different. Even with clothes and hair and everything he is like that when it comes to girls. He always says he hates the wholesome girl next door look lol, but im not exotic so he just has to deal with it lol
See they are just so hard to predict. I just found out that he prefers me with long hair because he says I did more with it. I really don't do anything different because I can't style my own hair and I actually think the shorter length gives it more volume and shape. I guess I will grow it back because it all reverts back to what Nicole mentioned we want to look good for them,

i understand what you're saying. Sorry you were disappointed, i guess she took your idea but went a bit too far with not making it a polished look but even when you do more of a not polished look it still has to look a certain way.
I thought you looked great, but as a bride we notice things others dont. Plus you know better than anyone what you had in mind and asked for. I have heard quite a few brides saying their hair didnt last and fell during reception some even earlier, and you have every right to get upset if you paid alot of money to get hair done the day of and would just expect it to last

yeah they all like different things. My Dh actually was so happy when i said im chopping my hair off. My hair was just looking blah and had no style and he thought with shorter hair it will finally look like i have some style to it lol. He likes short hair on girls bc he says not everybody can pull off short hair so you know better she can pull it off and not just look sexy bc she has long hair. He likes girls with long hair too but he feels sometimes its just long with no style. Hes just different, he even likes the idea of my adding pink highlights lol, he likes tats and a bit more out there look haha.

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
I loved my make up, and loved my hair up until the reception my curls didn't hold up...I should have carried a can of hairspray. I was also super upset that my dress kept on rising up (cause of the hoop skirt) which showed my feet. But I insisted on wearing the hoop skirt

Jess (Buckley) - I thought you looked gorgeous! I know what you mean - you have such HIGH expectations for a vendor based on previous work and they dissapoint... Especially when they don't listen to YOU, but what THEY think is right, kwim?
On a side note - did you get your wedding day earrings at Good Old Gold? They look just like the ones I had and that's where I got them...
