I am curious to see if everybody was happy with their decisions. Such as hair, make up, shoes, DOJ, dress and etc. I guess since during the planning we all were confused about some things, torn between 2 ideas. COmfort of shoes over look of shoes for some, subtle make up or dramatic, hair up or hair down and the list goes on. But in the end, were you happy with what you choose or did you wish you would've gone another way.
Such as: doing hair up and not working out day of, or hair down. Doing subtle make up or dramatic and now seeing your pics thinking maybe should've gone another way. Maybe not listening to people and then realizing they were right, or listening to others and not going with what you had in mind and regretting it. Even dress, maybe thinking you should've picked something else.
I guess seeing all these new members and having the same questions we used to have about what would be better and everyone having a difference of opinion on what will be better for day of. Is there anything you would've changed, was there any advice you were given that you thought was wrong. One big one I see on here all the time is airbrush vs regular. On your wedding day were you happy with either decision. We're you happy with your hair?

denise, i hope that i am happy with the way everything comes together for my wedding....my problem is i can be very very very indecisive....i see things on other girls and i love it - and i think that is what i want for myself but then when i try it - its not how i pictured it on myself - not sure if that makes any sense - but i guess its because some people look better with a certain look than others - and i think my problem is i always like things on other people and then it doesn't look good on me -i guess because im picturing that person and i think i will look them and when i see myself i get disappointed because i feel like i dont look as good as the person i got the idea from like when you look at celebrity hair and make up and then you can try the same thing but you look different, well because you are a different person
i have gone in a million directions with how i want hair/make up - i think i finally have a good idea of what i want.....i know that after the wedding someone will post pics of hairstyle or make up that i didnt think of and ill say.....ugh, i wish i thought of that, or i wish i did that just because i am indecisive and psychotic hahaha

I loved everything about my look. But to be honest, I feel like Oksana and Jenn took my general idea and made it 10000 times better so it is isnt like I wanted to look exactly like ONE picture or ONE idea so they just did what they thought would look good and I was VERY happy with how it came out!
I think what some girls do - is they want to replicate an exact picture or style and then it is easy to be disappointed bc everyone's face and hair is so different!
you just summed up what i was trying to say in one sentence

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
eh, i talk myself out of this all the time, but I didn't LOVE my dress. I kept trying to make it look like what I thought I would love, and I just never loved it. I got sick of trying dresses, and didn't want my mom to spend a lot of money. I should have probably gone with the $3k Alvina Valenta dress I tried on first, but totally talked myself out of it b/c I knew she'd insist on paying for the whole thing. and I HATED strapless dresses, but in the end they probably look better on me than my dress did.
liked my hair but the curls fell pretty quickly, and with my dress I should have worn it up but i'm just not comfortable with it all up - it feels so not me. Loved my makeup, veil, and hairpins but didn't love it all together with the dress. hated my shoes but had no choice because they ordered my dress too short.
blah blah complain etc. in the end of course it doesn't matter, but since you asked...

I loved everything. I went totally different on the hair than my trial and loved it... I went more dramatic on my eyes and i loved it... my photographer told me 100 times the day of my wedding that my make-up was awesome and it was photographing so well... I was second guessing my dress until it came in, then i fell in love all over again. I LOVED my DOJ... the earrings, the bracelet, the headpiece.
I really have no complaints... The whole look came together exactly how i pictured it and I couldn't be happier.

very good point Tilde. The day of i just said, Ok do whatever you think is best. All i said is that I want a dramatic look but just not to look like a racoon. I didnt tell her what colors or anything. I trusted her 100% and i said i will trust your decision as to what colors to use on me. Infact the colors she used were very different than what i would asked for, never would've thought to use the base the way she did but loved it.

I felt the same way!! I just wanted him to think i looked beautiful. But every now and then he'd be looking over my shoulder while i was on LIW and he'd see a dress, or a hair trial and be like 'ew, that is ugly' and i'd get worried b/c it was similar to what i was doing... but in the end, he loved my look and that is all that matters.
your honey will be amazed... you are a gorgeous girl and would look stunning in a potato sack.

you looked amazing, loved the eyes.
Yeah i didnt answer my own post but i had no complaints either. My hair came out even better than i hoped and it stayed all night, curls didnt fall and i even wore my hair the same way the next night for dinner lol, it was still curly so i said hey why mess with it lol. Make up too, i brought some of my own make up and stuff the make up artist gave to me in case i needed it, right before our entrance into the reception i went to retouch my make up but when I looked in the mirror i realized i didnt have to, everything was still on well except lip gloss. And i have to say that I am glad i decided to go with Dramatic eyes. I think if i went subtle, in pics my eyes would've looked different

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
I ordered my dress for sentimental reasons. I wish I ordered it a size up because it had to have the straps taken up due to the bodice not laying right. Hollow to hem went out the window and my dress was way too short....and no one told me. I only realized in pictures.
My hair was horrid. I got lost in the shuffle of BMs getting their hair done and I got a bit rushed. I had to get dressed so fast I never looked in the mirror....and no one told me. My hair looked awful and nothing like my trial.
I wish my dress fit better or I got a lower heeled shoe. I wish my hair looked like. I really hate the way I looked. I'm getting over it but I don't even like to look at pictures because I feel like I looked terrible.

You looked gorgeous, too!!
I was talking to my mom about my hair after the fact and at first i thought it was a little 'big' but she said, 'not for the occasion' and i think she was right. Also, when my mom and i looked at my trial, although the bronzey make-up looked awesome, the more i looked at it, i felt like i looked very young and it wasn't very weddingy.
As for my hair, it stayed through most of the night and didn't really fall until after the photog's left, so at that point, i didn't really care.
anywho, we are all the hottest brides ever!!

yeah i agree, for the wedding why not go big and dramatic i didnt want to look at pics of my wedding day and look at pics of me in everyday life and think it looks similar. Like the way i would look on any given day but just with a wedding dress on. If theres one day you are allowed to go all out, its for this hahaha

Re: Married Ladies RE: Your wedding day look
i loved how my hair & makeup came out. I had my hair up since its so hard for my hair to hold a curl plus i got married in june & didn;'t want to fuss with it with the heat! Makeup- i had traditional & last all night- i just reapply the lipstick!
The only thing i would change is my photographer- it seemed like i didn't do my research enough i just used him b/c i saw a girls photos & came out great but mine was nothing to brag home about. I rather have used Angelica glass or blue daisy. So now i am thinking about a day after- i dont know what to do. my photographer didn't take enough pictures of the family which was so important to me.

ITA. I wanted to have a special wedding day look, but still look like everyday me if that makes sense. I knew that DH would immediately have a comment if my make-up was too much because I rarely where any. He saw me after both hair and make-up trials and actually like the 2nd updo that I wore home instead of the 1st that I showed him in pictures. I ended up choosing the 1st but I don't even think he noticed!

I hated my hair. Hated it Hated it Hated it. I didn't have anyother choice though, the host of the show chose it for me. I did love my make up though and of course I loved my fun dress. DH loved how I looked so I guess that matters most. But if I could do it all over again, I would have taken my hair out, washed it and done it myself.

my Dh is different, he likes dramatic its so funny bc one day we were driving somewhere and he said to me 'how come you dont wear mac make up' i realized he was talking about the fact that i myself dont do my eyes with eyeshadow, i cant do smokey eyes myself or anything with eyeshadow hahahaha. It is weird bc most guys i know like less make up, that was my experience in the past but hes different. Even with clothes and hair and everything he is like that when it comes to girls. He always says he hates the wholesome girl next door look lol, but im not exotic so he just has to deal with it lol
