So pretty much my mother and I have been going at it back and forth for the last 6 months over the wedding, because she thought it was her wedding pretty much. We had a fight today over brides maids dresses and she pretty much kicked me out of her car and called my reception hall and canceled my wedding which was happening this may.
Im stuck now, im so upset and i dont know what to do. I still want to have a wedding, but my fiance and I just bought a house and were strapped for cash. Plus, my mom was my boss and she fired me over all this. (shes crazy!)
So now im jobless and weddingless. Does anyone know any really cheap places I can go?? im so destroyed, now were going to try and attempt to find a cheap place to have it.

I am so sorry that you are going through this I don't really have any good advice except try talking to your mom and definatly get a new job not working for her. Good luck with everything and I hope it all works out for you

You know this reminds me of the time I got into a fight w. my mom a month before my sweet 16. Se got so mad at me, that she picked up the phone and started dialing . She then proceeded to have this long conversation w. the banquet manager, telling her that shes cancelling the party blablabla. Well... The phone 'rang' during her conversation. LOL. She was bluffing the whole time. I started laughing hysterically and she was PISSED!!!
anyway.... I'm sure your mon is bluffing. Crazy moms like ours always do stupid **** like that....but in the end, it all works out. Let us know what happens!

Who signed the contract for the place? If you signed it, how can she claim to have any legal right to cancel it?
I agree! Why dont you call the hall?? If they cancelled it and you or your FH signed the contract, they can be in really big trouble!

***??? Holy poopoo...that is freaking crazy
I'm so sorry to hear this is happening between you and your mom. I would call the RH to make sure its not cancelled. After the both of you have calmed down you should try and come to some sort of compromise. I really hope you guys work things out.

OMG, I'm sooo sorry. This is horrible. Maybe wait until your mom has cooled down and try to talk things over.
