I bought this dress in Israel. The first time I am bringing myself to posting it. It is a 2 piece, the top made out of crystal - completely. So, the question.. do you think its too see-through below the chest? My FI and family are conservative, I want them to like the dress.. do you think its too Sexy???
Please be VERY honest!!!
I am considering putting solid WHITE material on on the bottice, so its not see through. What do you think? People say not to do it because it will ruin the look.

I think the dress is beautiful and very different, but I would definitely do the lining in white.

It is hard to tell from the pic.. but it does look like you can see your midriff. so, I agree with the lining. As far as color- I think what you should do is find a reputable seasmstress and see what they think. They will be able to recommend what would be best, without taking away from the dress.

Your dress is very pretty!!
I had mine fitted very tight from waist up. I actually wanted some cleavage and I'm pretty busty.
I would line it with something that matches the color of the dress.

It's very pretty, but maybe you can have a liner sewn into it. With certain camera flashes, it may become too sheer and look like lingerie. Try taking pictures of it on in different lighting with the flash and see what happens.

I would say to add a white liner to it. Since the bodice is made out of crystals, I think white would make them stand out more (reflecting light and all) than a nude lining.
I agree with Backinnewyork though--definitely take some pics with different camera flashes. I went to a frat party in college once and didn't realize that--in certain light--you could see my white bra right through my shirt (which was dark blue). It was bad, but not as bad as my one friend who wore white granny panties under sheer black pants--it just happened that the sisters decided to have a blacklight at the party

umm...you got some good boobage, but i'd tone it down...but good for you! as for the sheerness of it, did you ask a seamstress or somone if there was a unitard thing to wear under it? i think the dress is gorgeous!!!
corset. not unitard.

first of all, lemme just say, you have a gorgeous body... i'd love one like that; i'm like a brick wall :)
i agree, it might help you feel less self-conscious if you put in a liner--- you won't want to be second-guessing yourself on the day of...
a nude liner might achieve the look you're going for, but not expose your belly button.

I think this dress is beautiful. It is very different than any I have seen, so you will be very original. the bottom looks like it flows.
If your gut instinct is that the bodice is too revealing go with your gut. I think a thin lining the same color as the dress would be a good idea as well as taking the cups out. I do not think it will ruin the appearance of the dress. i am sure you will look beautiful in it.
Good Luck.

I think the dress is gorgeous and you look gorgeous in it! Good move taking the cups out, and I think you're right to wear a white or nude fabric under the bodice. You'll look beatiful!

Re: My Wedding dress Dilema (with PIC!)
DH is from Israel, so I've seen quite a few Israeli wedding dresses, and the sheer tummy look is really in over there! Most of my cousins in Israel wore dresses that totally exposed their stomachs, and while I don't have the body for it, I think it looked amazing on them! I would have to say it all depends on how you feel, and also, I guess on what kind of guests you have... if you're having a lot of Israeli guests, they won't even blink twice at the sheerness... but, if you feel uncomfortable, then just get some lining... but, I LOVE the dress... it's very unique, and very beautiful!

Re: My Wedding dress Dilema (with PIC!)
Your dress is so unique and the crystals are beautiful. The bottom line is, you have to feel comfortable. If you do, you will radiate confidence, comfort and happiness (and if you aren't comfortable, quite the opposite). So, do whatever is going to make you FEEL the most beautiful and least self-conscious that day, whatever that is.
