my dress is from lilletes in baldwin and I didn't have a problem trying on most of the gowns I liked... I couldn't zip like one or two, but i expected that. I ordered my dress from there and im definitly a plus size girl

If any of you girls are thinking of ordering the lane bryant one I would do it soon. They are onsale online for $7 so I think they will be gone soon. I haven't seen them in the store.

My dress is 2 sizes bigger then what I wear in jeans. But I was in between sizes, I was torn which size to order but ordered the bigger one, You can always take in, never really take out....

RK in the city has a lot of styles in and many sizes which is great when you can actually get the dress on, I found mine on the island but would rather not give the name. The sales person and owner are not nice at all and would never want to give them my business. I tried the dress on there and ordered it elsewhere!

Im thinking about selling the gown I purchased because I am having second thoughts. Also been losing a lot of weight and by next year it might be too large to alter.

Is anyone interested in it? Its a James Clifford dress. still at bridal salon. Just came in about a month or so ago. size 26 but street size 22. FM me if your intersted and i can send you pics and pricing. Obviously would be less then retail price that I paid.

RK Bridal in the city has a bunch of plus size dresses you can try on...I also think Paradise Bridal (not 100 % sure though) Also David's Bridal

Like another bride told me there are many places with plus size dresses.

Aww, lol, yeah that's what I was afraid of, but I remind myself that it's more important something fits and the number on the tag doesn't change what my body looks like. Good to know!

I actually told the woman in one of the bridal salons..you would think these companies would want a bride to feel better about herself..any make the dresses bigger than regular size

I agree with the sizing thing... however I found my most beautiful plus size wedding gown today! I am so excited! I thought I loved the one I found on Thursday... but something told me to keep looking...SSSOOOOO glad I did! I totally got 'that' feeling when I put my Private label on today!
