Billy Joel will make 'The Last Play at Shea' in a final concert at Shea Stadium on July 16.

I hope it's not his last show. Some DJ on sirius just said it was his last show. If it's not, they should get their facts straight!

we are both mets fans and im a HUGEEEE billy joel fan. FH is a fan too, but I'm obsessed. we went to the MSG shows in 2006 too!

I heard about this concert like a year ago and really wanted to go!!! I'll be on my honeymoon!!!! I hope he also plays at Yankee Stadium!!! I want to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Billy Joel announced at the press conference yesterday that the tickets will be from 49.50 to 99.50. This is not his last concert, just the last one at Shea. He did play Yankee stadium in the 90s, so he will be the only performer to play both. But he will not play at Yankee Stadium, because they have enough income, that they no longer allow concerts there.
Also in the paper today, there was a mention that the tickets will not be on sale through Ticketmaster---he doesn't want everyone to pay crazy fees

There was an article about it in Newsday yesterday. Tickets prices aren't crazy and it's not through ticketmaster. It was some weird website. Plus, they said he might do a few shows b/c the July 16th show is during the All Star break and then it said the Mets have a few away games after that, so they are going to take advantage of the team being away. They might even add a few more after that depending on how long the Mets go on road trips b/c they have to fix the field up for baseball and then a stadium, etc.

We are so going. I never miss a Billy Joel concert when he is NY. I have spent more money on his concerts than I care to admit. lol I have it marked on my calendar!! Our first dance is a Billy song! Yeahh!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!
