I feel you I was a cheerleader back in high school high then gained a 10 pounds when I was injured felt gross had an eating disorder and after meds I blew up lost it got into a bad accident lyrica meds for nerve damage gained it all back. The birth control pill was no help I would call around to gyms I think ballys or lucille roberts has personal training as well as the YMCA

Dont just hire any personal trainer...you have FM!

I have to quote my FMIL on the weight issue. She says...'You can lose weight, but you sure as hell cant change ugly.'

So be happy you have a pretty face! Weight can be lost..dont worry or feel sad.

You can do it. I started with a personal trainer in June and lost 30 lbs. I use to be like 110 when I played all my sports and then had shoulder surgery and was out for over a year. I did the trainer for a few months then stayed at that weight now I just started againon my own using everything she taught me! I am down over 30 lbs!!! You will do it

Please don't be depressed. You are gorgeous! Life gets in the way sometimes and takes over. I have recently gained more weight than I would like. It depresses me, but I have started to do something about it. Weight Watchers has worked for me in the past, so I have started it again.

If you need a diet/weight loss buddy let me know! I would love to be accountable with someone else! :)

Girl, I know you're depressed, but you really are beautiful! I' have very similar issues..I've been trying to do an hour of cardio and then 30 minutes of weights at least 5 days a week; It's super hard, and you don't see results right away, but stay dedicated! Use the picture as motivation, but don't be too hard on yourself - set up small goals so you can feel accomplished as time goes on. :) I think so many of us can relate - you're so not alone!!!!!

You are beautiful! Don't be too hard on yourself!!! Set up some small realistic goals for the next few months and take it from there. I joined Bally's a few months ago and they have personal training classes that you get at a discount when you sign up for the gym or for a package if you're already a member.

A few years ago, I gained about 30 pounds within a month. I was so depressed and felt so gross, but overtime, I just set up little goals and the weight slowly started to fall off. I'm still working on it, but it can be done, and as long as you are healthy and have support and love on your side you can do anything

Re: nwr....suuuuper depressed

The same thing happened to me. I got on depo and shot up to 285 (size 22/24) and was horribly depressed!!! I didn't realize that was what did it and when I did I stopped immediately. It has taken years to come off and I'm still a few pounds away from my goal.

Join Weight Watchers and Planet Fitness and be patient! It totally sucks but the day you can stop shopping in 'womens' sizes it will all be worth it.

i'm sorry to hear that but you can always turn it around and change your habits. FH lost over 100 lbs by changing his eating habits and exercising daily and has kept it off. I think you just need a little motivation and I'm sure you can do

it don't be sad

Don't be sad love!!! Get your confidence back up and stay positive! You can do this!!! Start a good meal plan and try to cut out stuff like sugary drinks, soda, certain snacks...Theres a lot of gyms who have great deals on memberships right now.. Lucille Roberts, Planet Fitness..

get into a groove and stick to it.. you will feel so good!

Days that you can get out to work out do a video at home or do some small work outs.. play wii even!

Re: nwr....suuuuper depressed

It's totally doable by the way - how many pounds do you want to loose by the wedding? I think if you do it as a lifestyle change instead of just a thing for the wedding, it will last much longer and you'll feel great

My best partner through this has been FH - I wouldn't have the motivation otherwise. Can he come with you?

Also, I'd look into taking classes. I got exposed to Zumba through a lovely bride on here and I'm obsessed with it!

fh works too much, he can prob come on his days off (i dont think to lucille roberts though since its a women only gym, lol).....i would def stick to this but the biggest thing i want to do is lose for the wedding those pictures r forever. i would like to lose at least 30/40 pounds

Re: nwr....suuuuper depressed

Well the hardest part is just getting in the mindset of losing weight, and you've already done that! You can definitely reach your goal, FH has lost 43 lbs in the past 5 months by doing nothing more than working out and being healthier in our eating habits. No gimmicks, no crazy diets, just healthy lifestyle changes. The first thing we did together was go through our cabinets and get rid of ALL junk food. If you can't see it, you won't be tempetd :)

He also hired a personal trainer through our gym for 3 months and that was the biggest motivator for him because he couldn't just say 'oh I don't feel like going today'. And his trainer definitely kicked his butt!

Gotchya! I think 30-40 is definately doable. Not sure what your eating habits are now (because I know when I was on certain medication, even having the best habits didn't help a bit) - so I would start evaluating that. Make sure you do the 2L of water a day. Cut out sugar, carbs (if you need to have any, go with whole wheat), veggies, fruits, etc. Make sure you get protein in there also - chicken, etc.

Right now FH and I are going to the gym 4-5 times a week, and we feel great. Once you start seeing results you get even more motivation. Try to do an hour of working out a night - but make sure you add in some kind of weights to that also.

You can totally do it!!!!!!!!
