I'd LOVE to look like Jennifer Aniston! I actually use her at my 'goal body' lol - I'm such a loser! So that is my goal!!
By the way - I'm starving too! I think the cafeteria is calling my name! I am NOT going out there!!! Unless of course I'm allowed to go home!

Me too! Jen's body is my goal too! It's awful out there- just went to grab soup for lunch. It's a workout just putting on my coat!
Funny- not doing so much about any wedding plans. Girls- I've GOT to look for dresses. I got a quote for 2 styles from netbride.com- I would love to go to a couple of places and compare! I just can't motivate for everything- especially in this weather.

I haven't done anything wedding related in about 3 weeks!!! I have to call the church to set up Pre-Cana - that's my next big item.
Do you guys have any good V-day plans? The thread on the NWR board got me thinking!!
Don't even ask about the diet today - I did awesome all day and then got stuck driving home for 3 hours!!! When I finally got home - I ate everything that wasn't nailed down

This weather is tough to get motivated in! I haven't really done much either except been searching like crazy for the perfect honeymoon. This is tough! Anyone else having this problem? If I already asked this I'm sorry... But since we're all getting married in hurricane season, where are you girls going or planning on going??? I've thought of everything! We are only able to go 6 nights
Karen, I'm right there with ya! I did GREAT all day!!! Got home all stressed out - had not one but two nice bowls of pasta!!! It was delicious!!! BUT I am going to do 20 mins of buns & thighs pilates. As soon as I can get myself off this computer!
mv1003 - don't stress over the BM's gowns. You have time. Have you gone to RK Bridal? I'm not sure where you are in the city. But this way you can see what they look like ya know? It's on 39th bet. 8th & 9th. Good luck! Don't go crazy!

I FINALLY WENT ON MY TREADMILL THIS MORNING FOR 30 MIN!!!! YIPEE FOR ME!!! I was so proud of myself.
We were concerned about hurricane season too, so that's why a cruise was out. Just didn't want to take a chance. So we decided to go to Sandals in St lucia for 9 wonderful days!! They don't really get hit because I think they are closer to aruba then any of the other islands. Aruba always has perfect weather. I recently saw some program saying next year is going to be a really bad season.
My foot is doing better but was still bothering me...thanks for asking
mv1003- you do have time to order BM dresses they told me not to order till Feb. I would start right after the holidays though.

hi ladies!! happy to report that this morning's commute was pretty normal again. I do have to admit - I got myself a 20oz coffee at the 7-11. The 12oz was way too small looking, esp after last night's horrible commute!
octbride03 - we had the same hurricane issues, so we're taking a cruise out of Vancouver to Hawaii on RCCL. It's 11 nights and then we're hitting Vegas for 2 days on the way back to NY.
mv1003 - we still have plenty of time to find the perfect BM dress. I went looking with my girls (my MOH is pg, so I wanted to get her measured before she got super-big). The store doesn't want us ordering the dresses until at least April!! It only takes 4-5 months for BM dresses to come in. Honestly - the dress I fell in love with for my BM's will probably be discontinued between now and then - so don't make yourself too crazy now!
My next issue is the make-up trial. The way people have been raving about JN, I'm wondering if I should go. But I don't have a headpiece or even a hairstyle picked out yet, so I wonder if that will effect it. I know at least 2 other girls on this board (I don't think they're on this thread, though) have my exact same date!

Phew- thanks guys! I'm not sooooo worried about the dresses now. I hadn't gone to RK- I'll check that out one day soon though
Oct12- Glad your foot is feeling better! I can't imagine having a shot right in it You're REALLY good! On the Treadmill! Wow! I'm going to follow your lead! We had our christmas party last night-and I'm tried, but I'm going to get on the treadie at home tonight.
Karen- you are cracking me up! FH had a 3 hour drive home as well- and ate everything that wasn't 'nailed'- hahahahaahaha so funny!
Octbride- have you considered Aruba? The weather is always good there! There's a website where you can take a virtual tour (as I've done w/ every island)....http://www.tropicalislandvacation.com they have a lot of info about all the islands etc... check it out, maybe that'll help w/ your search? But don't stress too much about it- we've got pleanty of time to book, especially being in Oct.
Ladies, I didn't do too bad at the party. I had 4 drinks- some pasta and some sushi! I'm happy and danced my A*S off! So nice.....

Happy Monday ladies!!
A new week has started! Another chance for me to stick to some sort of diet. I was good most of last week, until yesterday when my MOH had a graduation party for her husband. The women were sitting around talking about wedding and babies and we consumed a TON of junk food. Not good!!!!
I have hit a definite planning lull!!!! Haven't done anything in quite a while
Did you guys pick out florists and limos yet? Those are my next two items to tackle. Limos are so iffy - I don't think any company has a 100% good review.

I'm almost at the same same spot as you - but we did our HM, and I have no clue as to my FG's dress The BM's all liked the same dress - so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it won't be discontinued between now and April
Favors we know - FI wants the monogrammed playing cards since our first trip together was to Foxwoods. Thinking about doing the CD's also - just not 100% sure. Invites - not a clue - I'm hoping Laura from LA Productions has some good ideas!! I was so happy with how our STD's came out
I'm sure they are lots of little things that we're forgetting. Oh well - we'll learn as we go!!!

Hey Ladies,
Another day - another pair of pants are super-tight. This stinks!!!!!!!!! I armed myself today with a banana for a snack and a granola bar for breakfast (I checked the granola bar is just 140 calories).
I got some unexpected wedding stuff done yesterday. Work has been super-hectic so I decided to treat myself to a facial. I did a search on here and a couple of the girls recommended Jackie of I Makeyou. I called her salon in Massapequa and her facials are $40. However, she's running a special that for an extra $10, she'll do your make-up trial, too! She's free my wedding day, so I figure I'll give it a try. My appointment is next Saturday. And even better - that night we're having dinner with Bob's dad and stepmom to celebrate Xmas - so I'll be all fancied up
If everybody is interested, she was really personable, no pressure at all. I believe she also travels the day of the wedding.
I'll keep you guys posted!!!
Edited to say - Octbride03 - you must have posted while I was typing - it takes me 10 minutes to get out a post!! Sorry to hear about your mix-up - I'm sure it'll work out.

I think it's just you and me today!! I'll be at training the rest of the week, so I won't be able to post until I get home at night.
As for HM's - not sure if I mentioned it on this post yet (and I'm too lazy to seach, so here it is again) - we're doing an 11 night cruise to Hawaii and then hitting Vegas on the way home for 2 days to break up the flight. Hurricane season kind of limited us to where we could go. I think Hawaii is an awesome destination, plus doing it via cruising made it much more reasonable.

As for H-moon, I really don't know what to do either, Karen32- I like the cruise idea, and have heard of people loving it. My FH is leaving for Hawaii for WORK on thursday, I am so jealous.. but hopefully he can scout some things out while he is there. Other people have done Aruba that time of year b/c it is not in the hurricane belt.. I feel like Hawaii would be wonderful though, b/c it is so special- not to mention a tremendously long flight.. I have no idea what we're going to do either- we haven't even registered yet!! I feel like we're so behind!!!

Our goal - 1,000 posts before 05/01/03!!!!!!
The flight was our only iffy thing, but the more research I did, I found a Royal Carribean cruise that leaves from Vancouver, Canada. Only a 5 hour flight from NYC!!! The cruise does spend the first few days at sea, but I think after all the crazy excitement of the wedding, a few slow, lazy days will be good. That's also why we're hitting Vegas on the way back - just to break up the flight!
I think Aruba would definitely be safe - plus anything off the west coast - Mexico, Cancun, etc. Probably anything on the west-side of S. America would also be good - but the world is so crazy right now, who knows??

Got so excited by my HM talk, forget to talk about registering!!
We did it early - probably late-June for our e-party. The only problem - I get at least 1 email every few weeks from Fortunoff's saying something on my registery has been discontinued. My MIL bought us 1/2 of our good silverware for our e-party and it's already been discontined She had to go crazy trying to get the rest of our set. We didn't register for any bedding, b/c Fortunoff's says that changes every 6 months or so. Even two of my towel colors have already been discontinued!!!

I think this is my problem... I found my dress on a fluke, the first wknd in November.. I am living in Maryland, and got an e-mail from the Knot.com that this wedding store was going out of business, so I thought it would be fun just to go look with my future sister in law, never thought I would be walking out with my dress that day!! It was originally 1250, and i got it for 250!! And it fits perfectly!! So I think that being out of the way caused me to go into non-worried mode... Over Christmas I need to finalize a photographer, we met with some, and liked them both, but I have been obsessed with combing the boards to look at people's recommendations... we already have the reception, dj, church, my dress, and tentatively know what we want for BM dresses... so registering and photog are next on the list...
