Where are all of you in your planning?

I'm looking high and low for a dj and a videographer. We got engaged over a year ago and I thought I had all this time... I'm now thinking I wasted so much time

My fellow fall-brides,

what do you guys think about this bouquet for me? Then thinking of using a small bouquet of all sunflowers for my BM's.

I should DEFINITELY be there - I live in Babylon, which is only 2 towns over. As long as work isn't an issue, I plan on being there!

I got a sign from God last night about working out. My gym membership ended on 12/15 (or so I thought). I get a credit card bill last night and there's my gym renewal. I completely forgot that it's on auto-renew . I call the gym to try to talk my way out of the membership, and they won't budge. So now my gym membership is paid through 12/03!!!! There is no excuse for me not to be in kick-a$$ shape for this wedding now. I pulled the class schedule off the internet and they seem to have some cool classes. Now if I can only get in the car and get there - but the CPA in me won't let good $$ go to waste!!!

I was so excited about the gym - forgot to mention the florist. I haven't even started looking yet A Florid Affair comes right to your house with samples and ideas - not sure if anyone else does that. I was thinking of booking an appointment with them, just to get myself started.

Invitations (Picked out to be ordered in January)

Right now we're looking for an officiant. I live in Ohio, so I'm a little stressed out about everything I have left to do and the little time I have in New York to do it. But my fiance is a big help. But I just found this board the other day and You guys are a godsend. There is so much information on vendors on here. I'm in heaven. Just wanted to thank you all!

Hi,

I'm having my Ceremony/Reception at Westbury Manor in Westbury. The night before the wedding I'm staying at the Fox Hollow Inn with my BM's to get ready. I forgot to add that to the list of things of have done. I have blocked rooms for out of town guests, and booked my rooms for the night before and the night of the wedding. Where are you having your wedding?

Ooooooooh Westbury Manor! I LOVE it there!!! That was our second choice, ONLY because FH's brother got married there. We wanted something different, ya know? We are getting married at the Fox Hollow!!! I cannot wait!

Christina- I'm getting married at North Ritz Club. Where are you getting married? What vendors did you get already? I wonder if we have any of the same????

OCTBRIDE03- I'm in the retail business so I really can't stand X-MAS. Plus we just heard some disturbing news about my brother (the black sheep). I've been in a sorta fight with one of my MOH's too, so I have been in LA-LA land for a week or two. Really hasn't been good lately.

We went to see Starlight express (DJ). They seemed good but how can you tell from a video? FH mom's friend said she saw them at a wedding and they were amazing. he wanted $1800 for DJ and MC with light show (do I need this?) and for our cocktail hour. Is that a decent price? The owner Vinny was really nice and said he would put a rodee(sp?) who was also a dancer to help with all the kids (about 11 of them, not my choice)we have for nothing extra.

Are you girls going to the GTG in Jan??

Sorry Christina I just read that you are having it at Westbury manor ( it helps to read) I am staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow too !! We are staying Sunday and Monday ( not leaving for honeymoon till Tuesday). How funny is that? We will probably see you for breakfast.

OCT1203. Sorry to hear you are in retail A few more weeks and it will be all over! As for the DJ, don't know much about them. IMO lights and smoke and all that kind of stuff is unnecessary. BUT.... that's just me! Check out another DJ if you're not sure. There are plenty on this site!

Oct1203: How funny that you are staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow too! I'll be there Saturday Night and Sunday Night. I probably will see you at brunch on Monday Morning. Sorry that you are having such a hard time right now. The holidays always seem to be hard though with emotions running high and stress at a double. So maybe in January things will start to calm down a little? We're all thinking of you though

So far for the photographer and videographer we have booked proline. For the DJ we booked Variety Entertainment? I think that what it was (Fiance is doing the DJ) they were at his brothers wedding and did a great job. I'm using a stationary store here for my invitations because it is more convenient.

I have a question for you guys. Because of family issues, I'm really looking for an officiant that isn't associated with a religious organization. Does anyone know of a Judge or JOP that will perform weddings at a ceremony site?

Sorry, I don't know of any officiants, but I checked the wedding services of this site and found these. Maybe they aren't that religious - but I don't know, it looks like they are all reverands.
