I just went last night, they set the place cards in the estate, at the main room when you walk in, right to the left of you on a table...where the fireplace is....not in the cocktail room

Re: Official EAST WIND THREAD

As promised, I took some pics of East Wind on Sunday when I went to a wedding there. The cocktail food was delish!! I like the seasame chicken, the peppersteak with rice, the turkey, and the penne a la vodka. I didn't eat the seafood, but when we got there, which was about 45 into the cocktail hour, the trays of food were still filled, so that means that they did replenish the food as needed. And it was all hot, so it was tasty!!

The reception was nice, they served the herb chicken, which is on a bone--this is what I had to eat and was a little difficult because I had to use my fingers to eat it. I thought it was going to be a chicken boneless breast, so my hands got very greesy. They also served the steak, which was DELISH!!! I stole some of FH's. I don't remember what else was served bc everyone at our table at the steak, and only 2 of us ordered the chicken. Also, the chicken had mushrooms on it, which I wasn't aware of, and don't like, but my brother's girlfriend is allergic to them, so she couldn't eat her chicken. Ok, enough on the chicken.

The viense hour was nice, although we were looking for the wedding cake, and we didn't find it. It could have been spread out with all of the other cakes already cut up, but we couldn't tell. They had the belgium waffle station with ice cream and toppings...yummy!! we also had some of the creme brulee in little cups which was good, and we had the chocolate fountain. They didn't have a lot to dip in the fountain, all I can remember were graham crackers, marshmellows, strawberries, pinapple and rice krispie treats. That is all I remember of that, there could have been 1 or 2 more things, but I don't know.

I dont' have pics of the cocktail hour bc we got there late, but here are a few pictures of the room. Enjoy.

The room as we are waiting for the bride and groom to be announced

They might have had them on the piano originally, but when I got there, they were on a table next to the door...

Ok someone ease my mind - I just noticed that the candeliers are gold and I have silver candelabra centerpeices - is that going to look bad. i can't believe I never thought of this and I already bought the centerpeices and they can't be returned.

ok here is a question for everyone

I am trying to decide what color bridesmaid dresses to get. I love celedon/sage green (any light green color, but not pastely) with pink flowers. The prob is that the estate has sooo much green in it to begin with. Should I choose a different color??

its totally up to you...personally, i wouldnt worry aobut matching their dresses to the room bc all your pictures will be done before the reception. all the pics from the reception will be of the BM's dancing...its not like they will be posing in front of the wall...

i would pick the color that you love :)

It's funny because when I was picking out my CP, that is the first thing that came to mind was that the chandeliers were gold.

Honestly, I don't think anyone will even notice it

I am getting married at the EW Inn in the chapel. We are planning on taking pics before the ceremony. I was told as long as another location is not currently in use you can use it for pics. My wedding is the first of the day I think. So we are planning on taking some pics outside in the gardens as long as its nice, using the stairs at the Inn entrance and the lobby at the NH ballroom entrance. Hope this helps.

Doing good over here!

In the process of looking into invites and then wedding bands

The hardest part is going to be the BP Gifts so that is last on my list of to-do's. I know I will change my mind 10X before that
